💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Always call to confirm class availability *before* traveling, even if you have signed up online, to avoid disappointment (based on Review 1).
  • Be aware that phone calls, especially for competitive team inquiries, might be screened or result in unprofessional communication (based on Review 2).
  • Consider this gym if your primary goal is to find good training at a reduced cost (Review 3).

Things to Consider

  • Classes can be full despite online sign-ups, leading to disappointment upon arrival and wasted travel (e.g., 5-year-old traveling from Saginaw was turned away) (Review 1)
  • Lack of proactive communication (e.g., no phone call) to inform parents of full classes after online registration (Review 1)
  • Reports of unprofessional, short, unapologetic, and uncaring coach/staff behavior towards parents (Review 1)
  • One parent explicitly stated they would not let their child train with a specific unprofessional coach who 'teaches all of the classes' (Review 1)
  • Rude and insulting phone communication from staff, including relaying negative messages directly to children (Review 2)
  • The business reportedly screens phone calls based on caller ID and may refuse service or communication based on this screening, even if mistaken about the caller (Review 2)
  • Difficulty in obtaining basic information (e.g., competitive team details) via phone, requiring being put on hold for a coach who then refuses to speak (Review 2)
  • Potential for significant child disappointment due to unconfirmed bookings or negative staff interactions (Review 1)

Unfortunately, I nor my 5 yo had a good experience with this gym. We signed up online and was told upon arrival that the class was full. We traveled from Saginaw for her to participate. We walked in a few minutes before the class started and the coach with this clipboard asked if my daughter was ____. I said yes and he said you're probably about to be disappointed. My class is full. You have two options you can get a refund or choose another class. I asked if she could at least attend tonight since we came so far and he said no. He was very short with me and unapologetic. He didn't seem to care. Very unprofessional. I was upset and was asking questions. Wondering why I didn't receive a phone call beforehand. He said he just found out the class was full. The supervisor of the center apologized for him since she was there and heard everything. She said he could've handled that differently and she's sorry that happened. She quickly refunded my money. I will not be choosing another class for my daughter because he teaches all of the classes. I wouldn't dare have her train with such an unprofessional coach. We spent the rest of the night trying to cheer my 5yo up from the disappointment.

My daughter called this gymnastics place to inquire about competitive team details. The person that answered the phone had no information to provide and put me on hold for a coach. The person that initially answered came back to the phone and relayed the message from the coach (TO MY DAUGHTER) that they wanted nothing to do with us on any level due to the name that came up on their caller ID. Apparently they screen phone calls and decide whether they want to answer or not. Without them being 100% sure about who was on the line, they clearly made a mistake and were completely unprofessional and insulting. My daughter made it clear that she was a child upon the initial conversation and to speak like that to someone is ridiculous and uncalled for. I had to takeover the call and let them know what was going on. I wouldn't dare allow my child to be a member of any team that handles business like this.
