I had a great experience at Academy! Martin helped me at checkout and went above and beyond answering all my questions about returns if an item didn’t work out. He was super patient, friendly, and made the whole process easy to understand. Really appreciated his help, it’s not every day you get that kind of service!

Good location and have good history here with the firearms associates. However, managers here are not honest when it comes to the price matching policy, listed and posted right above the firearms area, just to make customers wait time without honoring legitimate price matches from multiple competitors, despite the sign right above the register. Would recommend more trustworthy location with better management that does not decline policy due to 70$ difference. If you don’t want to honor the price match policy, don’t have the policy at all.

Unhelpful customer service. I bought Items 2 to 3 weeks ago, but unfortunately, didn’t have my receipt but did have the card I used when I paid for the items through Apple Pay. Their system Doesn’t recognize Apple Pay when doing returns. I would’ve been relegated to getting the lower prices based on their system if they did return or exchange those items. Very unhelpful, and not good communicators.

Great staff and prices. Was happy to see they still gave the firearms department. Amazing deals on close out items and brand names priced below the competitors.

I received notifications that two online orders were ready for pick up. I called to verify and was disconnected after waiting on hold. I rearranged my work schedule and drove 25 minutes to Academy Sports. When I arrived, the staff told me that nobody was present that could process my pickup order and that I would have to come back tomorrow. Now I have to try and rearrange my work schedule again and have an additional drive back to the store. This all could have been avoided if someone would have had the courtesy to answer the store phone.
