10 months agoLet me start off by saying, my child does not like the great outdoors. Any complaints they had when I picked them up Friday, was purely because being outdoor isn't their thing. So my review is more about the camp leaders. My kiddo absolutely adored them both. Chase was kind and supportive when tears were happening and Camilla slowed down while mountain biking because my kid was struggling to keep up, again making him feel very cared about. My child is also a picky eater, but the food they had was enough to sustain him during the trip. He talked about how much laughing and joking there was and even made friends with a few people. Apparently my non outdoorsy child LOVED the white water rafting and would happily do it again 😃. It means so much to me that Chase and Camilla cared as much as they did. I can tell from the way my kid talks about them that they were a HUGE part of why this trip was successful for him. Thank you so much to the 2 of you. I don't know if you'll see this but you made an impression on Zayne and they may even come back next year. If you're wondering if this is the right camp for you, I think it is. My kid did the multisport expedition. They got to do mountain biking, paddleboarding, white water rafting, and hiking. Aside from the mountain biking, my kid had lots of fun doing each activity and from what the other kids talked about, lots of laughs. Again the biking activity was a my child's issue, not the camp or the leaders.

11 months agoAmazing camp! My 7 year old cannot wait for camp again this summer! Groups are small and they get to do so many great outdoor activities, kayaking, canoeing, biking & hiking.

6 years agoOur 5-year old daughter has attended the week long "learn to bike" camp both this year and last and has had a wonderful time each time. The instructors are attentive and knew exactly how to get her up and riding and having fun. They played lots of games she loved and did a great job keeping her cool in the heat of summer. She always wants to go for more than one week!

6 years agoOur daughter enjoyed all the activities and was enthusiastically sharing about her adventures. I appreciated the daily communication and the phone call we received before the start of the week. The counselors were fun, confident and personable. Highly recommend.

6 years agoAvid is a fantastic camp! My kids love the water sports, in particular. And I love the water safety education they receive. We will definitely sign them up again.
