"Barnyard Buddies at Lakewood Equestrian Center is a little slice of heaven in the middle of Long Beach. My daughter has been taking horse lessons here since she was 6 (she is 8 now). Most equestrian places make you commit to weekly lessons and charge about 3X as much, but all we really want is to learn basic horsemanship, grooming, and just being around horses. She’s a very shy girl and learning to control a horse has really helped her confidence. All of the instructors are great and we especially love Sydney and Sonia. This place is really special!"

"Fun fun fun!!!! A pony ride, feeding the goats, petting the animals. They sell icecream inside too. This is a fun small local attraction across from the long beach towne center."

"Great children's petting zoo. Buy some feed at the kiosk. Animals include: ponies, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens ducks, cows. I may have seen a unicorn? It gets muddy when it has rained, so bring a change of clothes before putting the kids back in the car."
