This was a wonderful experience for my family. The story behind this farm was touching and educational. Everyone there was professional and courteous. Everyone worked together in groups, and it was fun. The scenery and environment was beautiful. Volunteering time was a wonderful and relaxing idea.

I started going to Barchard Gardens before winter time for the first time what an amazing place I caught the tail end of fall so I was able to see a few flowers. Got some great pictures which I will add and I most recently went back about two weeks ago and discovered the trail is extremely longer than I expected in spans south along part of the Delaware River or a waterway leading to the Delaware river what an amazing trail this is I can’t wait for spring even though spring is kinda here when things go in full bloom I’ll be there at least once a month. They have a great gift shop with a lot of handmade crafts and it’s just a great place to go if you want to relax get exercise sit and reflect With some great views, there is also a seasonal farm a little bit south down the road from the gift shop area. You need permission in order to pick some of the produce really unique and great place to spend the day.

Nice area for an outdoor walk. A couple parts of the trail (going up towards the swing bridge) were closed which was a bit of a bummer. I was a bit underwhelmed by the gardens, but it is early in the season. They appeared a bit overgrown and not many flowers yet, although staff was out there working hard so I would be interested to come back in a few weeks. The gift shop and buildings are very nice. They also have a water bottle filling station near the restrooms. The path down the Schuylkill was well maintained.

Wonderful place, people, and experience. Volunteering a little time here with my family was one of the best things I've done in life

Exceptional representation of the plants Bartram grew during the eighteenth century. It is free to the public but I would recommend giving donations as it takes money and labor to maintain such a sanctuary. The architecture of the Bartram house is also one of the most unique pieces of architecture dating from the eighteenth century and blends well with the gardens. I recommend this place to everyone interested in gardening, history, and for anybody wanting to get away from the hustle of city life.
