a month agoLots of flowers and wildlife abound. So many varieties of plants and flowers, all so pretty. A nice gazebo and pond to stop at. There's fish too. Trails weave and wind through the trees, the main one is nice and paved. There's a gift shop to look around. The parking lot is nice and spacious.

3 months agoThis place is absolutely gorgeous! There is a wonderful play area for your children & paths to walk. They also have a small gift shop. I personally love the barn! You can rent it for family functions & events. The place truly speaks for itself. It's even more beautiful than in the pictures & when does that ever happen? The staff are so very kind & help in any way they can. They do a fantastic job at keeping up with the landscape & it clearly shows. I will definitely be bringing my son here thru the summer months to play!

9 months agoThe Beechwood Farms nature reserve has seven different trails that I know about. Each one of the trails is a loop, and some are as short as a half mile and others as long as a mile and a half. If you get tired, you could always do an in-and-out walk. There are restrooms at the nature reserve, and there’s a shop that allows you to buy plant-related items, T-shirts, socks, and a few other items, but there’s nothing to drink or eat. You will want to bring your own water or a snack to drink or eat during or after your hike. There’s a small pond with fish and frogs at the lower portion of one of the trails. Most of the trails are shaded by trees, so even on a 91° day with high humidity, the walk is very doable. There is a lot of parking, along with handicap parking; however, the trails are not set up for any type of wheelchair. The wheelchair access would be to the gift shop. there isn’t any type of fee to walk in any of the trails.

10 months agoA field of invasives greeted us on our trail( mugwort). The park also has Japanese knotweed, Japanese stilt grass, and other invasive plants. I was disappointed. There are straight species native plants ( black cohosh along the pond, Hollow Joe pye weed, native sunflowers), and native fauna( adorable teeny toads, and birds( indigo bunting), but I was expecting something more.
