💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →If language immersion is a primary goal, specifically inquire about class separation (French vs. Spanish) and potential for combination, especially during off-peak seasons like Spring Break (Review 2).
- →For trial days, proactively request a detailed summary or follow-up plan regarding activities, language spoken, and child's engagement (Review 2).
- →If initial communication during inquiry or trial phases feels sporadic, consider this a potential red flag and seek clarification before committing to longer enrollment, particularly if concerned about off-site trips (Review 2).
- →Parents of 3-4 year olds can expect their children to adapt well and learn basic language through fun methods like songs (Reviews 1, 3).
- →If your child enjoys performing, singing, or dancing, inquire about Glee classes and performance opportunities (Review 4).
Things to Consider
- ⚠Sporadic and untimely communication during the initial inquiry or trial phase (Review 2)
- ⚠Difficulty getting a response or follow-up from the 'enrolment' team, even after multiple emails over several weeks (Review 2)
- ⚠Lack of transparency and warning regarding combined language classes (French & Spanish merged due to low numbers during Spring break) (Review 2)
- ⚠No follow-up or summary provided after trial days, leaving parents unaware of what was spoken, what crafts were made (e.g., plants, their care), or how the child performed (Review 2)
- ⚠The inconsistent communication during the trial phase can lead to a lack of confidence in enrolling for the summer, especially concerning off-site trips (Review 2)

⏰When to Avoid

- • If you require consistently prompt, proactive, and detailed communication *from the very first inquiry through follow-up*, as pre-enrollment communication can be sporadic (Review 2)

6 years agoWe had a great experience at Bonjour NY last summer when my son was 3 and turning 4 in August, and we recently signed him up for this upcoming summer. The staff is very professional and the communication with parents is outstanding. The director was so sensitive to my concerns when before the camp started, I called to discuss whether my son would do okay on the field trips. There were so many fun, interesting activities planned for the children. My son was happy to go to camp and made friends. If you are looking for a great summer day camp with lots of classic camp activities with the added bonus of French exposure, this is a great camp. Furthermore, it's great for families looking for flexibility (you sign up for as many or few weeks as you would like and choose among options for hours, add-on classes).

9 months agoIt’s hard for me to give a full review as we’ve only trialled one day. Communication was very sporadic & untimely from the start. Only one lady working part-time? But our child really enjoyed it & I was pleased they were taken to park & created nice art, came home with planted things etc. French spoken? I don’t know, especially as to my surprise- no warning - the French & Spanish classes were combined due to low numbers in Spring break. The whole point was to learn French. However, no follow-up or summary provided so I have no idea what was spoken, what the plants given are or how to care for them. Despite several emails to ‘enrolment’ over 3 wks, still nothing. Highly disappointing as I’d wanted to sign up for summer - seems people here had gd experiences- but I’m not confident about leaving my child now, esp with off-site trips (& comments I’ve seen in Yelp) if I can’t get in touch easily. It seems Ria is the owner so if she sees this I’m hoping she will respond so I have another way to communicate.

6 years agoBonjour NY Manhattan was our first experience with a summer camp and it met all our expectations. Great and well organized program, good communication and the staff was always very friendly. The weekly field trips were a big highlight. What I really liked is that the kids were spending most of the time outside! My daughter (4 yrs) had very little French knowledge, but that was not an issue. After the first week she got used to it and started to learn few words (mainly through songs). I highly recommend this program!

7 years agoVery warm team. We loved that the camp organized a camp performance for families. It was my daughter's first time on stage and she just LOVED it. Needless to say she's also a big fan of the Glee classes. She came home singing and dancing EVERY DAY! Excellent camp, well managed and very educational.

2 years agoMy daughter has spent most of the summer in Hola camp and has really enjoyed it. The counselors are fun and caring, and everything seems well organized. Drop off and pick up has been easy even with COVID restrictions, and they plan a wide variety of activities to keep the kids entertained. Would definitely recommend!
