Broken Shovels Farm Sanctuary

"We went here on one of their open house days with my three-year-old daughter. It was a really cool experience. You get to walk amongst goats cows and pigs. Everyone working there was very friendly and full of information on the animals if you asked. I would highly recommend this place. Seems like it’s a well run sanctuary for animals that were down on their luck. Oh and be sure to wear close toed shoes, and while they have washing stations, I recommend bringing hand sanitizer for after you pet the animals."

"Love this place so much! Everyone is so loving and kind and it’s so wonderful to get to come and see all the animals that were rescued and how they are living their best lives now. They have cows, goats, sheep, chickens, geese, swans, pigs, turkeys and dogs. So many animals! They are so sweet too! They were saved from horrible lives and love to be pet and be loved."

"We are from out of town and didn't know what to expect. We are very happy with our experience! The staff and all the volunteers are clearly committed to the animals and sanctuary. There are lots of animals to see and pet, Goats, Sheep, Huge Cows, Pigs, Llamas, Alpacas, Turkey"
