Perfect For

Specifically caters to 'younger kids' with a dedicated slide that has a lower height requirement.
Toddlers will benefit from bringing a stroller as a seating alternative due to hot ground and limited chairs.
Adults can enjoy with their children, with options for relaxing in available shaded or lounge chairs.

Ideal For

Families seeking relief from hot weather, particularly during summer months.
Families with a mix of age groups, from toddlers to older children, benefiting from varied slide options.
Parents who prioritize venues with active child safety monitoring and supervision.
Riverside residents looking for a convenient, local family entertainment option.
Families looking for added value, as the water park is included with general admission to the main park.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Arrive early to secure 'first come, first served' chairs and shaded spots, as they quickly become unavailable.
  • Pack swimwear as Buccaneer Cove access is included with general admission.
  • Bring a stroller for toddlers; it can double as a personal seating solution to avoid hot concrete if chairs are unavailable.
  • Be prepared for and proactively manage potential line-cutting issues, especially with younger children.
  • Consider the 'riverside residents' bonus if you live nearby, as it's a convenient local option.

Things to Consider

  • Strict 'no outside chairs' policy is enforced by staff, even if you weren't informed.
  • General seating is very limited and operates on a 'first come, first served' basis, leading to a significant lack of available chairs during busy periods.
  • Cabanas are reserved, implying an additional cost and requiring pre-booking.
  • Limited general shade and no umbrellas, leaving visitors exposed to direct sun and potentially 'scalding hot' concrete surfaces if unable to secure seating.
  • Potential for line-cutting by younger children (e.g., 5-year-olds), requiring parental vigilance.
  • Concrete surfaces can get 'scalding hot,' making it uncomfortable to sit on directly even with a towel.

Price & Value

Access to Buccaneer Cove is included with the general admission price to Castle Park, offering good value for a full day of entertainment. However, cabanas are reserved (implying an additional cost), and costs for on-site food should be anticipated.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accessibility accommodations mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Food is available on-site, specifically mentioned in conjunction with the magic show. While outside food isn't explicitly banned for the water park area, the strict 'no outside chairs' policy suggests a general restriction on bringing personal items, including potentially outside food.

🚗Parking Info

  • No specific parking details provided, other than being 'close to home for the riverside residents,' implying local convenience.

👥Crowd Levels

  • Can get crowded, evidenced by chairs being 'first come, first served' and running out quickly, as well as line-cutting issues.

🛡️Safety Features

  • Staff at entry checks wristbands for all visitors.
  • Employees actively monitor children attempting to leave the area without an adult and verify who they are with for enhanced child supervision.

When to Avoid

  • Visiting later in the day if securing a chair or shaded spot is a priority, as seating is very limited.
  • Bringing your own chairs, as they are explicitly not permitted and will be confiscated.
  • Expecting ample available seating or shade without arriving early or if the park is busy.
  • If you or your children are sensitive to walking or sitting on 'scalding hot' concrete surfaces without guaranteed seating or shade.

It comes with general admission, so pack some swimwear. It's a big splash pad with some water slides for all ages. It's great since it's already included. My kids have a blast there.

It's a great park for kids and adults. They have a magic show where you can enjoy the food and see the show. I really liked going here with the family specially in summer because of the water park.

I was a bit disappointed by the fact that you aren't allowed to bring your own chairs. I brought mine because I KNEW that there weren't going to be any available since it was first come, first served. Nobody told me they weren't allowed and I was approached by an employee and told me (nicely)that I couldn't have them. I then looked around, and asked him, where he expected my children and I to sit? There are no chairs, we can't use the cabanas since they're reserved and the cement was so scalding hot that it was going through the towel one of my sons was sitting on. He just stated it was first come, first served. So I put my toddler in her stroller and luckily someone was nice enough to give me a chair. There is hardly any shade and no umbrellas. Best piece of advice: go early to grab chairs. Otherwise, you're stuck sitting in the sun and hot cement.

The kids had a great time with all the water features and going down the 3 different good sized water slides. There is also one slide that has a lower height requirement available for younger kids. There is plenty of shaded seating area which was nice to just sit back and relax. There are also lounge chairs if you want to relax in the sun. I liked how there is an employee not only checking wristbands as you enter but actively monitoring when a kid would attempt to leave without an adult and ask to verify who they were with.
