3 months agoSuch a cute little spot hidden in downtown Tampa! It was our first time visiting and the staff there were super friendly and showed enthusiasm for all of the critters under their care. They even had a cool rearing lab on the premises which reminded me of a mini version of the butterfly exhibit in UF. Very fun time out, we had such a great time! 🐛 🪲 🌿

2 months agoWow. For around ten bucks this place was amazing! It had so many cool special bugs that I probably won't see again! This place is such a great experience for 5 reasons! 1. The staff members are so sweet. 2. There care for animals is extraordinary! 3. There's a butterfly garden that even lists there favorite foods! 4. They have a plant Area with a koi pond! 5. The dedication on keeping the plants and animals safe is very hard to follow through on. Especially when it's your responsibility to pull it off. I love this place! I truly recommend this place! ❤️

a month agoWe visited the place. We've been to many butterfly places and this one was very tiny. Almost passed it going there because we were expecting something much larger after reading all the reviews. Maybe we went on an off day but we saw Maybe 3 butterflies. The butterfly section is actually outdoors and very small area. Would have been so much nicer having the butterflies they hatch be in a enclosed garden room roaming freely. This way you get a more better experience. The rest of the place was nice but again very small.

8 months agoCute little shop with everthing for the butterfly lover which is surrounded by a variety of beautiful native plants you can purchase to put in your garden, and helpful and informative staff. They have private parties and an optional membership to view reptiles and bugs in a new private exhibit.

3 months agoMy three-year-old is super into insects right now. I stumbled on this little hidden gem in Tampa and would absolutely recommend it. We were the only family there on a Saturday around 10:00am. The animal keepers were so generous with their time and attention as we bounced from bug to snake to lizard and back again (he had a list of favorites he asked about and they were genuinely excited to show him every one). The place is small. There’s a lot to see in a small space and all the animals are well enclosed for their protection. It’s quiet and calm and I would completely recommend it for sensory-sensitive kiddos.
