Great to walk or run and to observe wildlife (saw some bucks & different types of birds). Long elevated walkway for part of the trail. Some river views. Unfortunately you do hear a lot of planes, but that comes with the location. Still a great forest preserve!

It’s a really beautiful place where you can take a short walk for relax, like the atmosphere here.

I visit Catherine Chevalier Woods regularly for jogging. The paths are serene and not too crowded. It’s a perfect place to enjoy some quiet time away from the hustle and bustle

Very nice place for a stroll and get some fresh air. I am convinced in spring, summer and fall it’s even nicer. I enjoyed having a walk there, saw some deer and squirrels but was too slow to take pictures. Definitely a recommendation when you’re staying in one of the neighboring hotels.

Great hiking and bike gravel paths throughout the area. Noticed the new renovations too: a huge bridge over the Des Plaines river and other walk at path up to Lawrence from River Road. A perfect nature escape 15 minutes west of the city. People were also following the signs and keeping their dogs on the leash- added perk if you want to bring your furry friend! Also noticed some people taking advantage of fishing spots.
