3 months agoI've participated in a decent amount of rec sports in my past, and have never had an overall experience as disappointing as my experience here. Depending on your indoor dodgeball team size, you can expect to pay ~$80 per person for 8 games. Not a terrible price on its' own, but there is absolutely nothing good being done to justify the price. The rules are not quite standard for anyone who has played dodgeball, and certainly not uniformly enforced. The referees see, at most, 1/10 obvious hits which is to be expected in some cases. But when entire teams like to cheat when they get hit (unless called out by the ref), refs chat with people on the side-line instead of doing at least a sub par job of paying attention, and garbage music is blaring in the gym so loud that audible ball deflections are drowned out by the unnecessary noise, it is very frustrating to pay that much money for 8 Gopher balls and 10 dudes (in the "social" league) who clearly have no day job outside of dodgeball. I love team sports especially which is why this is so disappointing, but I would highly doubt anyone from my team will ever be playing in this league or anything CCA-related again. TL;DR - If you have any desire to play dodgeball, you'd probably have a better time finding a pile of wrenches.

8 months agoI've been playing pretty regularly in CCA Kickball and Softball leagues since the beginning of last year! I absolutely love these leagues! I got into it because it let's me sign up as an individual instead of needing to find my own team(which is hard when you are new to indy like myself). It's been fairly easy to be grouped into the Free Agent teams every season, as outside of last summer, I've been offered spots every single season I've registered for. The schedules are very easy to work with, and the refs seem like they enjoy referring the games! Great way to meet people and get some sport activity into my weeks! I'm always recommending people I know to register and play!

6 months agoSigning up for leagues is a huge PITA. They either don't email you that leagues have opened, make signups at midnight for some stupid reason, and last time that was even malfunctioned so I went to sign up and nothing was online yet. You have to sign up immediately to even consider gettin a spot in your preferred league. Also, some of the workers who run the leagues are super rude. Website is absolutely terrible. And they overlap the timing of leagues consistently. Truly the most unorganized company. If there were other leagues to play in I wouldn't play here.

10 months agoHorrible experience. Our team was charged $700 to play in a BEGINNER league that had multiple teams with 5-10 seasons of experience. Do not give them any money if you want to have a fun time.

3 years agoI learned about CCA a few years ago. I was born and raised here and I did not know Indy had adult social sport leagues until my friend asked me to join their volleyball team. Since then, I have played in the volleyball and kickball leagues and met many new friends. The social events are fun too! They offer so much and it's a great way to spice up the typical weekday. Best decision I ever made was signing up to play!
