"Prices are very high, especially when a lot of schools will offer short term loans of similar supplies to students for free. For sleeping bags you are better off buying one new than renting for a weekend. You don't always know what you are getting either, I renter multiple coolers and got one that worked great and one that didn't even latch (charged the same price). They don't care at all if you have issues with your rented gear."
