About Center Stage Children's Theatre

Center Stage Children's Theatre, led by Ms. Rosy, is highly valued for its uniquely inclusive approach where 'every role is important' (e.g., 'soldier #2', 'a spoon'), fostering significant growth in public speaking, singing, and social skills for children. It cultivates a strong, friendly parent community that actively volunteers, helping to reduce program costs and making it a place where parents also build friendships.

Insider tips

  • Be prepared for potential long-term engagement, as children tend to stay and grow with the program for many years (e.g., 5 years noted).
  • Ideal for children who may benefit from a supportive atmosphere to build confidence in public speaking and singing without the intense pressure often found in highly competitive programs.
  • Parents looking to connect with a friendly, non-'stage mom' community will likely find it here.
Value
Program costs can be significantly offset by parental volunteer roles, offering a valuable financial incentive for active family participation and fostering community involvement.

What parents say

"My son has participated in CSCT productions over the last 5 years. As "soldier #2" in Mulan, as a spoon in Beauty and the Beast, and as the lead in James and the Giant Peach he found that under Ms. Rosy's leadership every role is important. He has gained confidence in public speaking, a love of singing, and gained many good friends. I particularly appreciate the fact that the parents are friendly and participate (many volunteer roles bring down the cost of the program). This isn't a group of 'stage moms'. I've made good friends too!"

"My daughter has loved her experience here! Fun, supportive atmosphere where she got opportunities she would not have gotten in places that have wider range of ages."
