💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • **Complete all waivers online before arriving** to ensure a quick and easy check-in process (can save significant time, allowing you to start climbing within 5 minutes).
  • If you have children of varied ages, this gym effectively caters to both toddlers and teenagers.
  • Be aware that the gym is predominantly bouldering-focused, so manage expectations if you primarily seek rope climbing, although autobelay options are available and expanding.

Things to Consider

  • The gym is primarily a bouldering facility (approx. 90% bouldering), with only a few auto belay routes currently available (though expanding).
  • The climbing route ratings might be slightly different from other gyms, requiring a brief adjustment period to understand your range.
  • One reviewer noted the only missing feature was a 'cave area' for climbing.

Price & Value

While specific pricing is not mentioned, the gym offers memberships (after just two visits for one reviewer). The overall experience is perceived as high value, especially compared to a St. Pete alternative which is described as 'super busy and have so many rules, it's extra stressful with kids and especially a toddler.' The provision of chalk pots also adds value by removing potential rental or purchase costs.

🛡️Safety Features

  • Use of autobelay systems for roped climbing.
  • Staff actively helps newcomers with going over the basics.
  • Requirement of waivers for all visitors, particularly children, indicating standard safety protocols.

Came down from Spring Hill to try this place out with my 3 kids (13, 10 and 3) Really nice and clean facility. We went on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. The front staff was SO friendly and went above and beyond. The atmosphere and the fact they let my 3 year old autobelay made the whole experience for me. They also had a kid area with a slide! We've been to multiple rock climbing facilities with and without kids and while the place was 90% bouldering all my kids had a really great time. Also, it looks like they are expanding the autobelay wall! Happy to have a place to replace the other one in Tampa that closed. While the one is st Pete has a really great facility with lots of options, they are usually super busy and have so many rules, it's extra stressful with kids and especially a toddler. Oh there are a LOT of waivers especially if going with kids. I highly recommend doing them online before you go. Makes check-in a lot faster

Check in was quick and easy (make sure to do all of the waivers online!). They had gear for the kids, and everything was clean and accessible. The routes had great variability for all of us - and the kids wall with the slide was a fun warm up!

Nothing but good things to say about this mostly bouldering only gym. They have a few auto belay routes and cool climbing area for little ones that even lets them top out and go down a slide. The bouldering walls are great. Wonderful variety of difficulty, holds, and style. There was so much to work on it was hard to pick a place to start. The ratings were a little different than the gym I usually go to but once I figured it out it was easy to find things within my range. The staff was friendly and courteous. I filled out the waivers ahead of time and was able to check in and start climbing within 5 minutes. Bathrooms were clean and there was a nice workout area in the back. There was the added bonus of chalk pots throughout the gym so you didn't need to rent a chalk bag or bring your own. I definitely recommend this gym for anyone local or visiting the Tampa area. The only thing missing was a cave area but otherwise a top-class gym.
