a week agoWow! Great zoo!! Loved it all! The shuttle was great for us older folks. Its beautiful Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Ranked #2 in Nation! A must see. Be prepared to walk up and down - its built into the side of a mountain

2 weeks agoWe had a wonderful day at the zoo today! This place is hilly and was definitely a workout for those of us that live at sea level. The workout walking the hills was totally worth the up close and personal experience with the penguins and wallaby. Feeding the elephant and giraffe were certainly highlights of the trip and are very reasonable as compared to other zoo encounters we've had across the country. The giant slide and the vintage airplane were really cool additions to the Zoo too!

a week agoNice family zoo to have a family weekend spending here. Diverse species of animals with serval restaurants and beer to enjoy. There is a skyline in the zoo which is fun to explore. Need to reserve tickets before going or you need to bet your luck to get tickets by the door. Great spending of time over there. Btw, elephants and giraffes are clocked off earlier, so go to visit them first!

a month agoCheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs is one of the most unique and breathtaking zoos in the country. Perched on the side of a mountain, it offers stunning views of the city below while allowing visitors to connect with wildlife in a natural and immersive setting. Unlike traditional zoos, this one takes full advantage of its terrain, creating a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Giraffe Experience – The Crown Jewel of the Zoo One of the biggest highlights of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is its world-famous giraffe herd, one of the largest in the U.S. The giraffe exhibit is designed to be interactive, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with these gentle giants. You can hand-feed them lettuce, watch them gracefully roam their expansive habitat, and even learn about conservation efforts from the zoo staff. The best part? The feeding deck is elevated to giraffe height, so you can look them right in the eye—an unforgettable experience!

a month agoWe had a fabulous experience at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in March 2025. Despite being a windy day, there was no dearth of visitors. The Rhinos and Penguins were amazing. However the highlight was Giraffe feeding experience. That was outstanding. Highly recommend this zoo. And yes, always do advance tickets
