2 years agoCome kayak here. They take care of everything. They’ll help you climb in and out at the dock. Good boats, sleek fast ones and wide stable ones, single, double, canoe. No reservations, just show up and it’s a fair price. Bring a cash tip. Saw great blue heron, black capped night heron, green heron, baby goslings and ducklings, tons of turtles and a muskrat! We waved at the Brown Line driver and she waved and honked back. Just make sure you wash your hands and take a shower ASAP afterwards! River best enjoyed in dry weather - rain makes it extra filthy and stinky. Thanks Melissa!

7 years agoA great way to see a part of the city you normally drive right through. Incredible and surprising range of birds and other wildlife: we saw ducks, geese, heron, turtles, and frogs. Great pricing and friendly, helpful staff, too

2 years agoNice location for kayaking and canoeing! Not too crowded, and you will also have the chance to see the river’s wildlife including turtles, and several different birds which is super cool!

6 years agoDid a two-hour guided paddle with my 5-year-old, we both had a wonderful time. Jessica and Ryan were our guides, they pointed out some neat sights and made us feel comfortable paddling the Chicago River for the first time. We'll definitely be back.

2 years agoFriendly and easy way to explore the river in that area ! You will see birds and turtles (and a bit of trash). No need for reservations, just go. Family friendly.
