Good news: Members get free parking at the Children’s Museum during spring break. Bad news: The parking lot fills up quickly during this time. I recommend allowing at least three hours for your visit. The newly updated Game Quest area is a great spot to sit down and play. If the weather is nice, the outdoor water play area is also a fun option.

My kids LOVED LOVED LOVED here. So much to see and do This museum is so practical. So interactive with the shopping where they buy fake produce, pay for it and return it all back. There was a bank where my daughter loaned me $ 😂. We also were newscasters. They rode in a police car, played EMT doctors and veterinarians and we dined in a fake bakery. My kids didn't want to leave and we didn't have time to see everything cos it was so much fun and not enough time. We will definitely be back

This place could keep a child busy for weeks, so it’s hard to experience everything in one day. There is so much to see and to do and to learn! I think every inch of this place is a learning opportunity for children, but even as an adult, I’m not too proud to say that I learned some new things myself! 😁 Children are able to actually see and touch and truly experience everything up close and personal. Imaginations will run wild in this place! It was so much fun watching kids learn and discover new things while having such a great time. The adults were right in there doing activities with the kids and having just as much fun. You could probably come every day of the week for a month and never have the exact same experience. As much as I loved it, I know that children enjoy it even more. The children’s Museum is definitely worth the price of admission! It’s the perfect place to have fun and make memories with your children.

We were unsure of what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised as there are lots of activities and even exterior play structures to keep kids busy easily for a couple hours. The staff are plentiful and helpful, especially in the arts and creates sections. One lady personally helped my kid (who loves art) make 3 different projects which was super sweet of her. The climb structure inside is challenging but has quite a few exits so it kept a couple kids busy for 15 mins. Downsides are that their parking is pretty pricey, alternatively you can do street parking which is cheaper but you need a physical CC. The price of the museum is steep and why pay for adults who are mostly observing? Most play areas and even other kids museums on east coast USA require a fee for the kids only.

Review: Misleading Information and Disappointing Exhibit – Bodies: The Exhibition at The Health Museum, Houston I recently visited Bodies: The Exhibition at The Health Museum in Houston, expecting an experience similar to the incredible exhibitions I’ve seen in other cities. Unfortunately, this version was a major letdown and felt like a misleading representation of what the real Bodies exhibition should be. Unlike the original versions, which feature full-body specimens displayed in dynamic poses, this exhibit only had body parts and internal organs—no standing or freestanding bodies at all. It was extremely small, something you could walk through in just 10 minutes, and it lacked the immersive and educational depth that makes this exhibition so fascinating elsewhere. One of the biggest disappointments was the misleading information about pricing. When I called ahead to ask about free admission on Thursdays, I was assured that the free entry covered everything with no restrictions. However, once we arrived, we were told that part of the Bodies exhibit was free, but another section required an additional $6 fee. Assuming that the exhibition was divided into two sections—one free and one paid—I decided to pay the extra fee to see the entire thing. To my surprise, when we finished the paid section, I asked an employee where the rest of the exhibit was, and she told me, “This is all of it.” I was shocked! I couldn’t believe that what I had just seen was the full exhibit—it was so incredibly small. I even told her that I had seen Bodies: The Exhibition years ago at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and it was spectacular in comparison. Beyond the exhibit, the rest of the museum was underwhelming as well. It felt more geared toward very young children, and overall, the experience did not meet expectations. I wouldn’t say it was a terrible visit, but it certainly wasn’t worth the time or money. If you’re expecting the full Bodies experience, I’d recommend looking for it in another city where they offer the complete exhibition.
