in the last weekI loved this place! The atmosphere was totally chill and the routes weren't graded soft or sandbagged. Lol. At first I thought it was a smaller gym when I looked around the lower and main level. There were some easy types to warm up on that were a bit short but fun. Then I did a few harder routes and really had to work at it to top out. Probably because of my advanced age, arthritis, allergies, subluxed sternoclavicular joint or just plain laziness. Whatever. That's for another day. The top level was much larger than the other 2 levels and had some great overhang problems that I loved trying. Definitely wished I could have hung out there more. Everyone there, staff and patrons, were so friendly and helpful. Wished I was staying in Cleveland longer just for the gym.

a week agoThis is a stellar bouldering gym. Gyms usually are in unremarkable warehouse but this one happens to be built in an old building with so much character. It's a really neat spot in addition to be being a great gym Lots of routes at each level, lots of space spread over several floors, lots of different types of climbs at the various grades. There are traverses which I love for endurance building. Some weight equipment. This has pretty much everything. I'm only in town for a short visit so I can't speak to the frequency of resetting routes I like that the easiest routes are not simple ladders, they even have some problems built in. My only complaint/comment is the difficulty is determined by the hold colour in most of the gym. That can limit the types of routes at certain levels. It also limits the ability to regrade a route if it ends up being set a little out of range for the colour. Upstairs uses coloured tape on the start hold to indicate grade. This works very well. Also a simple tag on the start listing the grade would work. All in all, great gym, great staff and friendly members. I take enjoyed my visit

9 months agoWithout exaggeration, best bouldering gym I have ever visited. Friendly community, great variety of bouldering problems. Free crack climbing classes Thursday evenings for members and guests! I wish more climbing gyms like this were around. Equipment available if needed.

10 months agoWe are visiting from Michigan. My son loves to go bouldering and he wanted to bring us to try it! I'm so glad he chose this place! It was so much fun and very challenging! I love trying things for the first time! At 51, I'm always looking for new things to see/try! There was an awesome man there who helped us with trying new things and told us about the third floor, which was so fantastic!!! Thank you so much!!

3 months agoI love Climb Cleveland. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. It’s a really neat community. I enjoy the addition of classes, such as for crack climbing, yoga, and weights that are included in the membership. The three floors of bouldering walls allow for a diverse set of climbs for all skill levels. The traverse wall is a good test of endurance. I highly recommend.
