This place is so fun but only go on days it’s not busy. That way you can take your time instead of feeling closed in. We loved seeing all the butterflies flying around. If you have a sensitive kid, they may get upset if they see a dead butterfly, so just be aware. There aren’t many but you occasionally come across one.

I learned to appreciate arthropods (look it up!). Sitting in the butterfly center was peaceful, especially since you need to be sure not to step on any. It was also delightful to see young bodies wander and explore the many types of butterflies. For a $20 donation you can set a new butterfly free to take its first flight 💜

Great exhibit. In addition to all the butterflies, there are plenty of blooming plants to see, and a few creatures to watch slowly amber along. Great ticket price for museum members.

Me and my boyfriend came here on a Saturday, the experience was magical seeing so many butterflies! We even had a very friendly blue butterfly land on us both! The dome is 3 floors, has a lovely garden of tropical plants, and a fantastic waterfall. There's an indoor museum of taxidermy bugs, which is cool for anyone who enjoys looking at a variety of bugs up close and personal. They had all stages of butterfly life on display, from a live windowed view of watching them come out of cacoons, to boxes of unique caterpillars. There's an array of live insects, a box of isopods, and a few arachnids. I definitely will be coming back! Only draw back for the whole experience for myself, was it was quite crowded. If crowds aren't your thing don't go on a busy weekend ♥️

This place is definitely an experience! If you are looking for something informative and educational, this is the place to go to. I would recommend taking a journal if you're into taking notes, and i do also recommend not being in a rush (can take about 2 hrs to explore everything based on the information provided)so that your experience is very detailed. Would also recommend this place for friends, couples, or bringing someone to experience with you ! Would go again with enough time this time 😂
