4 weeks agoWe went there mid-February to check if we can spot some cranes, but we didn't see any. We're still lucky to be able to spot a great egret. The trails were nice to walk if you want to do a short hike. It was a great day!

4 months agoA bird lovers paradise especially in the winter. You can see tons of water birds, different types of ducks, geese and cranes. The pathways are very well maintained and the sunsets are beautiful. Highly recommended for wildlife photographers and bird watchers.

2 months agoBest place for a walking meditation. I come here often to take in nature and ground myself. I can get lost for hours. Before leaving, I go out to the vista to see the water fowl and sit in mediation ; later on my way back towards the parking lot I stop and sit at the bench in front of the large body of water and take in the magical view. In a way, it reminds me of the scene in Howl's Moving Castle, where Sophie sits in serenity watching the water. It's my sanctuary away from the chaos of it all.

a month agoA great day trip from Lodi! We drove up and down both sides of the river. Many small towns, interesting architecture, beautiful farmland with a lot of livestock, birds and waterfowl! Great areas to picnic and sightsee.

a month agoI hesitate to write this because this is such a magical and well-kept secret south of Sacramento. It’s utterly gorgeous there. The trails and everything is so well-kept. Beware of poison oak and coyotes, otherwise the oak woods are simply breathtaking.
