Insider tips
- Choose Cowtown Soccer League if your child is a beginner and needs a highly patient, encouraging, and gentle introduction to the sport.
- If your child is anxious about starting a new sport or being less skilled than others, this league is specifically praised for putting beginners at ease.
- Parents looking for a general park outing with diverse amenities beyond soccer fields should manage expectations, as the park itself is described as 'mediocre' for other children's activities.
- If you play adult soccer, consider their coed league on Thursdays, as it accommodates all skill levels.
Good to know before you go
- Families expecting a destination with diverse play structures or non-soccer specific amenities for children outside of the organized league.
- Children who are already highly advanced and might prefer a purely competitive, high-intensity league without the specific focus on nurturing beginners (though it does accommodate adults of all skill levels, the kid-focused reviews highlight the beginner-friendly aspect).
- The broader park where the league operates is described as 'mediocre for children' outside of the soccer fields, implying limited other entertainment options for non-participating siblings or during downtime.

What parents say
"This is a mediocre park for children but there's a small section for skateboarding which is a nice touch. There are plenty of soccer fields if that's what you need. The old man version of myself enjoys the walk around the park most. It's an open space and the lap is just about one mile."

"Cowtown Soccer League is by far the best!!! I was worried when I registered my boys their first year because all the other kids were experienced and had great skills. Where as my boys were beginners. From the beginning, Marc put my mind at ease with his easy going personality. Coach Johnny and Coach Charlie treated my boys like they were family and made the game truly enjoyable! They were very patient and took time to teach them about the sport. Never did they yell or even raise their voice. Every game Marc makes it a point to come around and greet everyone and even takes time to kick the ball"
