a week agoThere aren't any signs directing where departments are located. They have high ceilings and could identify them easily. Staff was helpful directing me. Also, more deals are available online than in store.

a month agoCame in to buy an umbrella for 39.99. the computer was down. It was raining outside and I was headed to a funeral. I offered them cash. They said they couldn't because the system was down. I offered 50 dollar and they could keep the change. They said they didn't know the price(it was on the tag). I guess the math was too hard for them and the store procedure for a computer system being down was non existent. Lack of management and training is to blame. Do better

2 months agoFor some reason they would not allow my spouse to try shoes on, and wanted her to commit to buying before trying saying “it’s a lot of effort to bring shoes from back unless you commit to buying”. Is this normal these days where people spend 150-200 bucks without trying the shoes on? It’s not like we tried 100s of shoes to bother the sales lady. It was literally our first ask. Anyway, this was our first visit to the store and will definitely be the last.

a month agoNot too bad for the Friday after Christmas. Lines, but they moved quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to make a return. No hassles, no stress.

3 months agoI recently purchased a pair of shoes from Dick’s Sporting Goods, and the experience has been nothing but disappointing. When I bought the shoes on Thursday, I specifically asked about the return policy. However, the sales associate failed to mention a key detail: if the shoes were worn, they couldn’t be returned. On Friday, I wore them around the block, only to find they caused significant knee pain by the time I got home. On Saturday, I went back to the store hoping to return or exchange them for a different pair. I was upfront with the store manager, Dino, about having worn them briefly around my neighborhood, explaining the pain they caused. Unfortunately, Dino was not only unhelpful but also rude, condescending, and downright discourteous. His response was essentially that I should have “tried them before I left” and insisted there was nothing they could do. I asked about exchanging them or even getting store credit—nope. His final suggestion? To return them to the manufacturer. He even made an absurd analogy, comparing my experience to not being able to return a bat if it didn’t help me get a home run. In short, Dick’s Sporting Goods clearly doesn’t stand by its products or support its customers. If you’re considering shopping here, be warned: try items on in-store, then buy them somewhere like Amazon, where you’ll actually be able to return them if they don’t work out. And above all, Dick’s should be more transparent about their restrictive return policies so customers don’t end up feeling deceived.
