Evelyn's Playground

This is another good option for those with kids in tow under the ages 12 stuck around this part of the city. The playground is split into two sections, one for little kids and one for those over the age of 5. It has nice play structures, with some unique takes like the metal semisphere that can be climbed by those with enough drive. The playground also has public bathrooms, water fountains and enough things to keep the children of all ages contained.

We went to this park several times while we were visiting Manhattan. Every time it was super crowded. However, the park is large enough to handle a fair number of kids. There is a section for smaller kids and a section for older kids. However, the section for older kids seems to range from 4-5 up to 15-16, which is a wide range. However, everyone we met was friendly and most of the parents were very attentive. There are a number of slides and other interesting things to climb on in the big kid area. We only looked at the small kid area, so I can't really say how that part was.

Quite complete playground with different sections and all basic games and attractions. Good for something other than a Central Park-based playground. It’s shaded enough to be convenient during hot summer days. However, not necessarily memorable or worthy of repetition

Perfect place for kids from 2 to 12 years old. Much better than other playgrounds at Central Park
