3 months agoAs mentioned in many reviews it is a moderate difficulty level trail. I would strongly recommend doing it from the Mormon Trail side. It is ~ 2.5 miles with lots of hikers who are very friendly and helpful. Once you get to the top there are boulders so make sure you are comfortable to climb up, slide down a rock. Please bring enough water and some energy bars or snacks. Lastly if you try to get to Fat Man’s pass using Google maps , it will take you start of biking trail (desert trail, young man’s trail, midlife crisis trail etc). I would not recommend this path if this is your first time. Lastly, there is limited parking and no restrooms so please come prepared. Street parking is available.

10 months agoFat man’s pass is fun and is apart of a loop. When you’re heading towards the loop I recommend hitting Fatmans pass and follow it around to the hidden tunnel. The whole loop is a very nice walk, it’s a bit of a climb getting to the loop but it’s worth it!

4 months agoThe name fits! Very narrow passage, which adds to the fun! We got a little lost because part of the trails are not marked well. Ended up sliding down under a boulder to reach the trail back. Moderate rating mainly because it was a little too easy to get lost!
