6 months agoThe great tiny museum with interesting artifacts like equipment, vehicles firefighters used before. Worth visiting, it'll take 20-30 mins.

11 months agoReally cool experience! Great to learn and explore with kids. The stained glass window, coal driven fire carriages from the 1900s, and the gear through the years is really amazing. They have some firemen’s equipment that you can try on too. Spend sometime and leave a donation- the people are really nice and welcoming!

a month agoIf you find yourself in Center City Philadelphia for a few hours or a few days, Fireman's Hall is definitely a great place to stop by for an hour or two. The museum is "pay what you want/can" so it's a great spot for those on a tight budget. Kid friendly, it features lots of historic firefighting equipment, stories of some of the worst fires in the city's history, and has a great little corner dedicated to the response of the city and its firefighters to the 9/11 attacks. Even if you're not into history museums or museums in general, it's well worth donating $5 to $10 per person and spending sixty to ninety minutes walking around and seeing all of the great displays.

6 months agoFor a free museum, this place was incredible. We expected to be in and out in 10 minutes, but it actually took longer. There is a lot to see here. I highly recommend taking time to visit if you are able to.

2 weeks agoWe would have loved to have checked it out and given a good review, but the woman at the gate had a terrible attitude. We arrived at 3:20 (it closes at 4) and she rudely said it was closed, then said we have 10 minutes to see the whole place. She could have politely told us that it was closed but instead decided to treat potential customers in a way that we’ll never decide to try again.
