3 weeks agoMy son and I came for the exhibits and a show on the solar system. We had the best time. Flandrau mixes education with entertainment. I recommend it for all ages.

a year agoHad a chance to spend a lovely afternoon at this science center, which is packed with interactive exhibits for the kids and alike. There is a great emphasis on space exploration, due to the University's involvement in this field, but also ample other fields highlighted. I would have missed the downstairs interactive space had I not heard others talking about it, so it is also worth checking out. The planetarium is an old-school fun experience, although I found that the Tucson Skies talk was a little general in nature, but that is probably to cater various audiences. I had a bit of a mixed bag with customer service. People are super nice, but running special groups along paying customers creates an atmosphere where a full-fare ticket payer may not be valued. But, that's part of the modern running of sights like this.

3 months agoThe exhibits are geared towards kids which is fine, but you get no prior knowledge of that. The planetarium was great until, in the middle of the presentation, not once, not twice, but 3 times commercials come on because they're are using YouTube for music and won't pay for a subscription. It REALLY took away from the experience. Probably won't be doing that again.
