Things to Consider
- ⚠Potential for inconsistent coaching quality, with one reported instance of a coach being passive-aggressive, assuming prior knowledge, getting frustrated, talking down to children, and being inattentive.
- ⚠Risk of injuries for beginners due to lack of clear instructions or inattentive coaching, as reported by one parent (back and ankle injury for a 5-year-old).
- ⚠A negative coaching experience can significantly impact a child's self-confidence and may lead to parents withdrawing their children from classes.
Price & Value
The Creative Camp Preschool is explicitly mentioned as being '$1.78/hr more than the cheapest daycare in Fishtown,' positioning it as a highly competitive and affordable option, especially given the specialized kindergarten readiness, socialization, and inclusive support it provides. ♿Accessibility & Special Needs

- •Small class ratios (e.g., 4:1) help ensure individual attention and reduce the need for 1:1 support for some neurodivergent children.
- •Assists with potty training and allows small potties, accommodating young children's developmental needs.
👥Crowd Levels
- •No specific information on crowd levels for open play or general classes, but small class ratios (4:1) suggest a controlled environment for enrolled programs.
🛡️Safety Features
- •Equipment is described as 'first-rate' and 'great', implying physical infrastructure is safe.
- •However, one incident reported a back and ankle injury due to 'coach being inattentive and lack of instructions,' highlighting that coaching vigilance is a variable safety factor.
⏰When to Avoid
- • If your child is sensitive to passive-aggressive or easily frustrated coaching, specifically inquire about the teaching style of their assigned coach, particularly for beginner classes.
- • Enrolling a child without checking reviews or testimonials for specific coaches if your child needs a very patient and encouraging instructor to prevent potential self-confidence issues.

6 months agoMy family has had the most amazing experience at Flip Out. Both my kids (4 and 2.5) we have done all the classes their ages allow. The mommy and me class, the 45 minute drop off class for 3 and 4 year olds. But by far my favorite program they do is their creative camp preschool. It’s half days on T/Th and is perfect for stay at home moms that want to get their kid socialized and working on kindergarten readiness skills in a way that is affordable and won’t put you out of a job. It has allowed me to spend time with my younger daughter and get things done without being outnumbered. A few things make it stand out 1. They allow small potties if your kid is at those beginning stages of potty training and they help with potty training. 2. They are very inclusive my son has autism and with class ratio of 4:1 he isn’t requiring 1:1 support. 3. They are a $1.78/hr more than the cheapest daycare in Fishtown. 4. The kindergarten readiness skills and the small environment was so helpful over the last year that my son’s BCBA thought there would be more value to having Eli do Flip Out still and traditional Pre-k 3 days a week. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Particularly for families with ND children, my son is so welcome here.

7 months agoDisappointed with our experience. Signed my daughter (5yr) after reading all the good reviews. Giving a 2 star because all the equipment was great. The Fun & Flips class started great until another coach started teaching. Very passive aggressive & assumed all the children knew the moves and terminology, & when the children couldn’t remember the next move the coach got easily frustrated and talked down. Especially my child which had zero experience. We only lasted 2 classes but that was more than enough for my child’s self confidence to go down. Sadly, the coach being inattentive and lack of instructions resulted my daughter to have a back & ankle injury. Understandably, kids get hurt practicing gymnastics as it is a difficult sport, however the injury could have been avoided especially this early on. Talked to the other parents who felt similarly with the coach being too hard on the kidos.

7 months agoWe’ve brought both of our children to Flip Out when they were toddlers and they each loved it. Awesome coaches, a welcoming gymnastics culture, and overall a truly bright spot in the community. Can’t recommend them enough!

a year agoMy boy has been with Flip Out for 6 years. It's part of our weekly routine that we love. The facility and equipment are first-rate and the coaching top-notch. As a result of his training at Flip Out, he has not only developed life skills, including how to confidently approach any obstacle; but also he has learned amazing gymnastics skills, strength, and endurance.

2 years agoMy daughters have participated at Flip Out productions for the last 10 years. They absolutely love it! Coach Katie and the whole team are so knowledgeable, caring and kind. They promote a growth mindset and celebrate small and big achievements with each child. As a pediatric physical therapist and a father I highly recommend Flip Out Productions!
