2 months agoFoothills Nature Preserve, now open to the public for a $6 entry fee, is a beautiful spot for nature lovers. The views from Vista Hill are stunning, offering a perfect vantage point of the surrounding landscape. Boronda Lake adds to the serene atmosphere, making it a great place for a peaceful hike or a relaxing day outdoors.

3 months agoLovely park with nice trails, decent elevation, lots of wildlife, charming small lake with an island and areas with green grass. $6 will get you in- card or exact cash at the entrance, or free for veterans, with student ID, pass from Palo Alto library, etc. They gave picnic areas with tables and a visitor center with a fireplace, sitting area and WiFi (free). Parking may be a bit challenging on a busy day.

a month agoThis is one of the best spots in the bay area - beautiful lake, lots of birds, deers, amazing views, great trails! I am in love with this place! Please pay the $6 entry fee and keep our parks safe and well maintained!

a month agoA beautiful spot nestled in oak woodlands. Just outside of the city of Palo Alto. Dogs ok on weekdays, not on holidays. Camping, BBQ, picnic, geo cashing, fishing, hiking, and wildlife interpretation center. This place has so much only missing Junior Ranger programs. Make sure you pay your entrance fee of $6.00 or get an annual pass for $65.00 non-resident.

2 months agoGrowing up in the Bay Area, I have spent my entire life visiting this park, either with family or on school field trips. If you enjoy nature, this is the place to go. You can enjoy a lovely pond to canoe/kayak on or a beautiful hike. There is a meadow and picnic area to enjoy surrounded by Redwood trees. Even when the park is busy, it never really feels that way. I no longer live in CA, but I visit with my brothers for a hike every time I’m home.
