2 years agoI've done quite a bit of volunteering and helping with the community over the years. Just that sense of purpose to help others in need really makes me feel better about myself and the people that are in our lives. This takes me to the "Fulton-El Camino Recreation & Park District" where I had this opportunity on Saturday 1/7/2023. Located directly in the middle of Howe Park in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento, this place actually has a different name that is not listed on Yelp, "Conzelmann Community Center". The center itself has a 200-person capacity which can be reserved for banquets, weddings, anniversaries, and other gatherings. Since I work for a specific government organization, I volunteered to help with handing out water, snacks, hot meals, and blankets to families in need while giving them temporary assistance and shelter. It puts everything into perspective just how many people in this world hit hard times and don't have a place to go, let alone food to eat on a regular basis. The center itself has a stage, storage cabinets for coats, and a hallway with a men's and women's restroom. There is also a generous outdoor picnic table nearby in case you wanted to take your party under the sun or stars. As I mentioned, it's nice to have this available in the middle of a park where there are plenty of ample parking spots nearby. So with that said and done, I am giving the "Fulton-El Camino Recreation & Park District" an above average 4-star Google review.

5 years agoNice clean park, it's a very big park. They have different activities going on. You may see a volleyball to the your left and then there's a baseball field. So different people play ball. There is a small/large dog area..two playgrounds for the field and also a small pond ..
