There are arcades…and then there is the Galloping Ghost. Clocking in at over 7,500 square feet, this is heaven for a gamer. The amount of games can be overwhelming. They have classic games, newer games, and even some hidden gems for games. You pay one fee and play all day if you want. Street Fighter, Pac-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more await you. A few notes for a better visit. Drink water and have a snack before you get here. You can lose 3 hours playing games and not even know it. The staff is helpful and can tell you where any game you want to find is located. If there trouble with a game, press the red square near the bottom to reset it. I’d say over 90% of the games worked fine when we went. Side note:: Management tells me the Galloping Ghost name comes from the owners production company and he was also inspired by the attack squadron of the same name.

I had an amazing time at your arcade! A little mess ups and some games were turned, but still! I had an amazing time at your video arcade. Thank you very, very much for giving me a souvenir coin and a T-shirt for me to take home. Stay safe, and have an awesome day! -Cruise

Behold the mothership… SO MANY games it’s unbelievable! $25 day passes for unlimited play with re-entry. I found every classic game I was looking for and others I’d never played, all in great working condition. Classics from the early ‘80’s, lots of ‘90s, and newer ones too! A whole bunch of unique consoles I’d never seen. The biggest problem was working through the overwhelm and accepting I wouldn’t be able to play all of my favorites in one visit. Worth planning a trip to Chicago and purchasing a weekly membership ($65.) 12 Airbnbs within walking distance. Two blocks away is the pinball collection for an extra $5. Don’t miss this hidden treasure of nostalgia.

This was a really nice arcade! It made me remember back when my dad used to take me to the arcades a lot before! The environment was nice, a lot of people adults young adults and kids enjoying video games! The price is cheap in my opining considering that you can leave the arcade and re-entering showing your ticket until 2 AM! That’s awesome sauce!

The largest classic video arcade in the world, basically Mecca for old school arcade kids like myself. They have nearly all the classics you might remember from the USA in the 80s and 90s and a ton of really obscure titles that I never actually saw back then, only played on emulators. Everything here is as authentic as it can be 40+ years after these were released. Considering they’re open 365 and there are over 1000 games of course everything isn’t going to be working perfectly but they keep up on the maintenance quite well. I literally flew out here to spend three days in this arcade as there simply isn’t anything like it anywhere else on earth. I am a happy camper! Thank you Doc Mack for keeping the dream alive and thriving!
