10 months agoI absolutely love Gio's Outdoors, it is all of Ville's adventure stores under one roof, which is super convenient! I have purchased used kayaks at incredibly affordable prices, paddles and life jackets, all the gear to keep my phone and personal items dry while onboard, as well as kayak racks for my Bronco. I love that Gio's carries hunting and fishing gear, houses the Bike Co-op so you can shop bikes (e-bikes included) AND get repairs done whenever needed. They have all the gear I need for hiking, not to mention camping gear, and a drive-thru window for fast and easy bait pickup so people don't have to park their boats! It's a super cool store that includes local artisans and small businesses too, Not Too Shabby's clothing and accessories are adorable, and E Studio's candles are amazing. I am beyond stoked to have a store like Gio's serving the Smithville community, it's so much better than running to KCMO/KCK whenever I need adventure gear. 10/10, will shop again and again!

6 months agoI came in today asked a question about the ammo. I got a what!? and ignored by two people in the back. I don’t know what they were doing setting something up which I understand if you’re busy doing something but there are two of you and there’s a customer that just walked in the door and asked a question I don’t think two should be ignoring that person, especially if they’re willing to spend their money there I hope this business really steps it up in the future

9 months agoKaitlyn went above and beyond for us in a kayak purchase. When we asked about the price of the kayak, she told us the sale ended a week ago. She then contacted her boss and asked if he would honor the price. He said that he would as long as we picked it up today. We rushed to get there and pulled up about 30 seconds before closing. She welcomed us into the store with a smile and enthusiasm. Madison helped my husband load up the kayak. Both ladies were friendly and offered us various gear. We already had the gear but were appreciative they took the time to offer. They also told us about ladies night for kayaking on Smithville Lake which I will be talking to friends about. We will definitely be back for future outdoor items.

10 months agoStore was not open today at 10:50 am. Doors were locked and the open sign was on. I had a handicapped person with me but the sidewalk going to the store was blocked by kayaks. So it is not handicap accessible. Local merchants want to know why they are failing, Gio's Outdoors is a perfect example why I'll go to Rodgers from now on. At least they are open when advertised and they don't block the handicap access!

9 months agoGio’s Outdoors is my new favorite place to shop. They offer a large selection of quality and affordable bicycles, e-bikes, bike racks and cycling gear, kayaks, fishing and camping gear, bow fishing and hunting gear, coolers, boutique clothing, etc. They also offer a large selection of live bait with a convenient drive-thru open at 4:30 am. Highly recommend!
