2 weeks agoGreat experience. I love that GWL employs people with special needs. Staff in orange shirts were very helpful locating our missing child. Kudos to Sydney and Michael. We had a great time but the room was very loud due to upstairs neighbors running around and slamming the door. The signage for the rooms is poor. The parking costs $15/day. The kid activities outside the water park area are not good. Overall a great trip.

3 weeks agoMy husband and I took our girls to GWL for a few days, and thankfull, it was just a few days. The price was outrageou, and the pools were packed. The layout was really difficult to be able to watch your kids. The waterpark was also freezing once you got in the water or got splashed by the kids. The breakfast buffet was good and had a wide selection of food, so that was nice. The servers we had were also excellent. We also ate at the pizza place. The pizza was decent, but the $19 chicken wings weren't even cooked all the way, so that was a letdown. Our room was clean, and the shampoo they provided was amazing (I did bring my own, but theirs was great). I'm happy I brought it though because sham/cond isn't enough for my girls long hair and our conditioner was needed. The cleaning staff was very kind, as were the pool staff. I would have rated it higher but the hotel is enormous and the waterpark comparably was tiny and hard to enjoy, which is why we went. The wristbands were nice, not having to carry a room card was huge. I wish ours worked for the parking gates because that sucked having to call in each time we left the resort because it didn't work there. When you have 3 kids, convenience is key. It will be a one-time only trip for our family.

3 weeks agoI was really skeptical about this place but my son has been dying to go and I’m glad we did! We only live about 45 minutes away so it wasn’t terribly far, we got our room during a special they were running as well. However if you’re booking a larger room for a bigger family and did not get a discount when booking it can be fairly expensive so plan accordingly to when they have deals! Chairs are first come first serve but we only used one for our family of 4. The water park itself was pretty decent for an indoor park! There was plenty to do for the kids and us adults. I appreciated the 21 and up hot tub area because we were able to grab some drinks and get a break from the kids. It is a smaller indoor park if you are used to going to the water park at kings island but lines for slides moved fairly quickly. The staff was great and extremely accommodating, we had extra blankets brought up quickly and the system they use to text to request anything made everything very easy! Our room was clean as well as the bathroom and I always check since I’m a neat freak. They have other things for kids but we just went for the water park. I saw a few people complaining on previous reviews but genuinely this is a place for children and families so I don’t recommend taking a trip here with a group of adults unless you are okay with being around hundreds of kids. Our family had a great time here! I’m glad it’s so close to us. We will definitely be returning!

a week agoI'll break this review into three parts. 1) Customer service (on the phone, pre-check in) is misinformed. Was told there is not a microwave in the room. There is. Was told there's a Keurig in the room - bring my favorite K-cups. There's not one in there. 2) The lifeguards. I feel terrible for them. They're obviously being recorded on video. They are HYPER focused on doing the CORRECT movements on each pass of their assigned area. They look eerily like the animatronics from Chucky E. Cheese. They cannot possibly be laser focused on safety because they are focused on not being "dinged" for not doing the proper movements. WATCH YOUR KIDS. 3) The "family hot tub" is the Wild West. At least a dozen kids in there unsupervised, doing cannonballs, running, splashing. Oh, and worth noting - if you plan on ordering from Dunkin in the main lobby, expect a long wait. I was there on a Monday, while school was still in session so the crowd was reasonable. Took 39 minutes to get an English Muffin and a box of Munchkins.

3 weeks agoWish I could give these guys more stars!! I booked our first time ever for a holiday getaway in December, wasn't disappointed. Just got back a second time and still, nothing bad to report! Check in was a breeze, staff is so helpful and welcoming. I have twin toddlers and they absolutely LOVE it here. Not only theWaterpark, but the themed kid cabin (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!) suites are absolutely adorable!!!!, pizza is 10/10, candy store is delicious, the dance party is super fun, golf and arcade is a nice break from all the splashing. Can't wait to book again for the third time! Whatever you guys are doing, keep up the great work and thank you thank you THANK YOU for giving my kids such a great time!
