Hands On Discovery Center

"I would recommend going. Very good children’s museum. This place had a number of great attractions, including topics around history and science. The activities were slightly basic, but the kids did have a great time anyway. The dig site does not have people working it all the time, so plan accordingly if you want to see the active geological and fossil site being worked in. You should call to confirm that the dig site is open if you have a kid really wanting to see an active dig site. Still a great place to spend a few hours, and get the kids minds working."

"I visited the museum with my two grandchildren who are 4 and 6. We spent 4 hours there. It is an amazing place on an an actual archeological site. The first building is a museum with artifacts and displays from the discoveries. The second floor is a working lab with fossils and paleontologists working at their desks. The children were able to observe this. The second building is a hand- on museum with carefully planned art activities and interactive science displays. The children had so much fun. They spent so much time in each area. I plan to return. It fascinating to see the area where t"

"I took my toddler to visit the discovery center for a few hours. He enjoyed exploring all of the hands on and learning exhibits available there. It was a great way to spend a rainy day."
