a month agoThis is probably the best trail that my kids and myself has gone on. You really are surrounded by nature and all of its beauty. Please read the info about the copperhead snakes and safety. *Be careful on the stairs*

5 months agoCame here on a Sunday afternoon. It was a very nice park, big trail, area for little ones. Definitely recommend for families. Parking lot was pretty open, but during peak hours I could see it filling up.

8 months agoA hidden gem in Cary. We didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Thus nature preserve is beautiful and educational. It is well maintained and have lots of features. It has a good parking design the park is wheelchair accessible. The park has a great educational building with information for all the family. Well signage trails with a thick tree canopy. Clean bathrooms and rest areas. Great option for a fun day!

a month agoYou will see some of the same themes in other reviews: dog friendly; well taken care of paths and facilities with places to sit. The trails are not long. The max is 1.8 miles. They use fine wood chip mulch for the paths. Terrain has about 170 ft elevation change to make it easy going yet provide 3D interest. This is a walk amongst the trees you would do in under an hour.

a year agoWe absolutely loved this nature preserve! The trails are great and so is the wild life! We had a buck run right across the in front of us, we also saw 2 doe's laying and eating away. It was calming and a nice chance to connect with nature there was a table the kids loved that had info about different animals and hides. The bathrooms are very nicely kept and the building is very pretty and filled with great information! We will be coming back in the spring!
