a month agoNice local park with tennis courts, basketball nets, baseball fields, picnic tables and several playgrounds with awesome slides, swings and climbing structures. Parking may get crowded but I’ve been able to find a spot each time. Lots of trash bins as well, but no recycling bins. Popular with dog walkers.

a week agoI enjoy this place. Saw Nearly 200 young people gathering with giant tubs of water balloon 🎈 😄 They picked up the balloons afterwards

2 weeks agoI did a four lap 5 km run today at 7:05 a.m. The clover is long and needs to be mowed. There was toilet paper in the bathroom which did not smell bad. The bathroom is getting hosed down and soaked down with soapy water at least every Saturday morning because that's only time I come to this park. It's quite busy on Saturday mornings with all kinds of soccer games. There is a 5k Park run every Saturday morning. The parking lot has the deepest pothole in Tucson, so I dropped it to a 3 star for that. !!Update 6-8-2024: They completely renewed the parking lot now and it's got no potholes, it's so smooth it makes me want to go back just to drive through except for the two speed bumps they haven't put the yellow lines on yet. So it's now back to four stars. Update: there is now a paved walking path on the south border which is new.

5 months agoAt a soccer ⚽️ game. The park is ok, but needs some serious lawn maintenance compared to some other parks that I've been to. Soccer field was not lined for a game. Plenty of room on the grounds, but not so much parking near the Soccer fields. Although the parking lot has been replaced and striped. Close to eateries as well.

3 weeks agoIt’s an ok park, but there’s an unspoken agreement that it’s an off leash dog park. Absolutely full of off leash dogs. I wouldn’t mind because I have my own dog, but all these dogs running around off leash is unsafe. I was trying to enjoy the park with my dog and some of the off leash dogs swarmed us and started getting rough with her. Their owners were nice enough and helped pull them back, but now I know I can’t go to this park with her. I wish I could like this park, but it’s pretty much a no go zone because of all the off leash dogs. Frankly, the city should just gate off part of the park for a dog area. Seems like if people are going to have their dogs here, might as well make it safe for all to enjoy.
