7 months agoThese hippos are definitely a major draw for the zoo, Especially Fiona and Fritz, and I can totally see why. The little ones are super cute and it’s nice coming to see them whenever I come visit to see how much they have grown. However it’s the adults that are a true sight to behold. Like we all know hippos are huge, powerful animals, capable of some serious damage, but you can’t really appreciate just how big and Terrifying they are till you see them up close. Like don’t get me wrong, they are majestic creatures and the babies are adorable, but I’m mostly saying that because they’re inside the enclosure and I’m outside. Truly an astounding sight to behold, but I am seriously glad for the reinforced glass between me and them.

a year agoI came to visit from out of town to see Fiona ,Fritz, Tucker and Bibi. Today is Tucker's 20th birthday. I enjoyed seeing all the animals. Though I was surprised it being a weekday that it was so busy. Even though it was busy we had a good time.

a year agoWe enjoyed Hippo Cove! We were able to easily see Bibi, Tucker, Fiona, and Fritz and they are adorable and fun to watch. Huge viewing window, a little viewing window, and benches to sit on. People were polite and we all rotated to get photos. We went early, before the Holiday light festivities started, on a Sunday and it wasn't busy. It was overcast and about 56 degrees, which isn't bad in Cincinnati during the first week of December.

9 months agoEveryone should visit the bloat at the Cincinnati Zoo. What a wonderful, welcoming, and fun place. Get to the zoo early and head to the back of the zoo first for your best chance to see this famous family. They are behind the painted dog and meerkat exhibits.
