Insider tips

  • Inspect the foam padding around play equipment, especially near monkey bars, for holes or damage before allowing children to play, due to reported hazards.
  • If you are not a local resident or prefer a less vigilant atmosphere, be prepared for a potentially highly observant public environment based on one reviewer's experience.
  • Consider walking or biking to the park, especially if you live in the area, as parking can be 'first come first serve' and 'hard to find sometimes.'
  • Plan a visit during the summer months to enjoy the full bloom of the park's landscaping and the splash pad.

  • Presence of holes in the foam padding near the monkey bars, exposing a hard surface underneath, which is identified as a potential serious fall hazard.

Crowds
While not explicitly described as 'crowded,' the difficulty in finding parking and an incident where an alarm caused 'the entire scenery of people changed drastically' suggests it can attract a significant number of visitors and be quite active.

"Extremely safe area to be in. It's a very nice playground for children to enjoy themselves and plenty of benches for the adults to relax. Would've given it a higher rating if I didn't feel so "uncomfortable" on my first visit... I went to my car for a second and as I was returning to my kids an alarm sounded and the entire scenery of people changed drastically. Everyone had their phones out and were ready. People had children that didn't even match them. It was a man that arrived with a new born baby strapped across his chest and he had a cast on one leg and the baby was not even moving and I'"

"I would have gave it 5 stars if they fix some of those hazards like holes in the foam padding where the kids do flip by the monkey bars. If a child falls hard after a flip they will seriously get hurt because it is hard under the padding. But other than that its a great park. I live in the area so out of all the parks in the area this park would be my first choice. Its safe and great place to have play dates for kids, birthday parties, etc. Also parking is first come first serve. Hard to find parking sometimes so we just walk there."
