💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Inspect the foam padding around play equipment, especially near monkey bars, for holes or damage before allowing children to play, due to reported hazards.
  • If you are not a local resident or prefer a less vigilant atmosphere, be prepared for a potentially highly observant public environment based on one reviewer's experience.
  • Consider walking or biking to the park, especially if you live in the area, as parking can be 'first come first serve' and 'hard to find sometimes.'
  • Plan a visit during the summer months to enjoy the full bloom of the park's landscaping and the splash pad.

Things to Consider

  • Presence of holes in the foam padding near the monkey bars, exposing a hard surface underneath, which is identified as a potential serious fall hazard.
  • One reviewer felt an 'uncomfortable' atmosphere of heightened public vigilance (likened to 'National Security, all eyes on me vibes') after an alarm sounded, suggesting it may not be suitable for those seeking a completely relaxed, casual outing.
  • A perception by one visitor that the playground is 'heavily guarded' and 'only for the people who live there,' which might make non-locals feel unwelcome.

Price & Value

This is a free public park, offering excellent value with its diverse amenities including a splash pad, multiple play structures, and scenic grounds. The availability of free street parking further enhances its value proposition, as there are no direct costs for entry or activities.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accommodations for special needs were mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Outside food and drinks are implicitly allowed, as it is a public park, though not explicitly stated in the reviews.

🚗Parking Info

  • Free street parking is available directly beside the park, which is highlighted as a significant advantage.
  • Parking operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Parking can be difficult to find sometimes, leading many local residents to walk to the park.

👥Crowd Levels

  • While not explicitly described as 'crowded,' the difficulty in finding parking and an incident where an alarm caused 'the entire scenery of people changed drastically' suggests it can attract a significant number of visitors and be quite active.
  • Implied popularity due to being a 'first choice' for locals and good for birthday parties.

🛡️Safety Features

  • Described as an 'extremely safe area to be in' by one reviewer.
  • An alarm system is implied, as an 'alarm sounded' during one visit.
  • A high level of public vigilance was observed by one reviewer, with people having 'phones out and were ready,' contributing to a perception of safety, albeit an uncomfortable one for that individual.
  • A specific safety concern was raised regarding 'holes in the foam padding' near monkey bars, which could lead to serious injury due to a hard surface underneath.

When to Avoid

  • If you are highly sensitive to specific playground safety hazards, particularly regarding padding, until maintenance issues are confirmed to be resolved.
  • Visitors who prefer a completely unmonitored or low-key public park experience, due to one reviewer's perception of intense public vigilance.
  • If you are driving and absolutely require easy, dedicated parking directly at the park entrance, as street parking can be challenging to find.

Extremely safe area to be in. It's a very nice playground for children to enjoy themselves and plenty of benches for the adults to relax. Would've given it a higher rating if I didn't feel so "uncomfortable" on my first visit... I went to my car for a second and as I was returning to my kids an alarm sounded and the entire scenery of people changed drastically. Everyone had their phones out and were ready. People had children that didn't even match them. It was a man that arrived with a new born baby strapped across his chest and he had a cast on one leg and the baby was not even moving and I'm like come on now. It was a doll. It was giving me a very high level of National Security, all eyes on me vibes (Bourne Identity) that I didn't want my kids around. So basically go there only if you're visiting someone who lives in the area. I will never visit again but thank you for letting me know that this particular playground is heavily guarded and not meant for anyone just going to kick it and get away. Only for the people who live there...

I would have gave it 5 stars if they fix some of those hazards like holes in the foam padding where the kids do flip by the monkey bars. If a child falls hard after a flip they will seriously get hurt because it is hard under the padding. But other than that its a great park. I live in the area so out of all the parks in the area this park would be my first choice. Its safe and great place to have play dates for kids, birthday parties, etc. Also parking is first come first serve. Hard to find parking sometimes so we just walk there.

I cannot wait to visit this park in the summer when everything has bloomed. This park is really nice and made a great background for pictures. Children can play, you can walk your dog here, it's very nice. Can't wait to return!

This playground is a refreshing place if you live in the city or are visiting. You can also park on the street right beside there for free, which is a big plus.
