  • Waterpark area specifically designed for smaller kids under age 12, including toddler waterpark options.

  • Morning breakfast buffet (Maria D, Habiba) offers good variety, is well-serviced, and allows kids to eat for free.
  • Lifeguards and security personnel are noted for making children feel safe and protected.
  • Generally good cleanliness throughout the hotel.
  • Hideaway restaurant on-site offers yummy food and good service.

Standout Features

  • Waterpark with slides and toddler-friendly areas.
  • Kids' entertainment activities including daily movies, alligator shows, and poolside games.

Perfect For

Perfect for toddlers (ages 2-3) with dedicated toddler waterpark options, who will love the slides.
Ideal for young children and pre-teens (up to age 12), as the main waterpark is geared towards this age range.
Teens might find the waterpark limited and could get bored, as it's not designed for high-thrill activities.

Ideal For

Families with young children (toddlers to pre-teens) seeking a dedicated waterpark experience.
Families looking for a central, comfortable 'home base' with on-site entertainment for Disney day trips.
Guests from colder climates wanting warm temperatures and ample pool options.
Families who enjoy a lively, 'family atmosphere' with music and lots of kids.
Travelers seeking good value for their family vacation budget.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Consider joining the IHG Rewards program, as it may lead to perks like room upgrades.
  • For quicker assistance from staff, physically go to one of the main desks instead of calling.
  • Bring your own beach towels and pool toys, as hotel pool towels can run out.
  • Be aware that weekends (especially Saturdays) are significantly more crowded at the pool and plan activities accordingly, potentially using weekdays for waterpark fun or visiting off-site attractions on busy days.
  • Ensure young children wear swim diapers to prevent pool closures and inconvenience for all guests.
  • Budget for potential additional resort fees, estimated by one reviewer to be around $80 USD per day, which may bundle parking and pool access.
  • When dining at Hideaway, be mindful that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill.
  • For Disney transportation, be aware the free shuttle has limited times and destinations (Epcot and Ticketing); consider using Uber for other locations like Disney Springs (approx. $11).

Things to Consider

  • The waterpark is mainly geared for smaller kids under age 12; older children/teens might find it less exciting.
  • Rooms are not directly connected to the main lobby or waterpark, requiring a walk or drive depending on building assignment.
  • Construction for a second waterpark was ongoing, potentially causing noise or inconvenience depending on room location.
  • Hotel food (outside of poolside options and breakfast buffet) is often described as underwhelming and potentially overpriced.
  • Pool towels can occasionally run out, requiring guests to use their own.
  • Weekends, especially Saturdays, see the pool area become exceptionally busy and crowded, sometimes with large family groups or cheer teams, which can be overwhelming.
  • Frequent incidents of children pooping in the pool led to temporary pool closures (3 times in one 8-day stay), causing significant delays (45+ minutes).
  • Check-in process can be slow and problematic, with one instance requiring manager intervention due to delayed room availability.
  • On-site Cantina experienced very slow service due to understaffing (30-minute wait reported).
  • Hideaway restaurant automatically adds an 18% gratuity without upfront notification, which can surprise guests.

Price & Value

Offers excellent overall value for the prices, especially with amenities like kitchenettes and extensive kids' activities. However, be aware of a significant hidden cost: an additional ~$80 USD per day for 'parking and pool' fees, likely a resort fee. Kids eat free at the morning breakfast buffet, which is a good value add. On-site food (excluding poolside and breakfast) can be overpriced and underwhelming.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accessibility accommodations were mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Kitchenettes in rooms facilitate self-catering, and grocery deliveries to the hotel are accepted.
  • On-site dining options include a food court, Cantina, Hideaway, ice cream shop, and poolside bar/food.
  • Kids eat free at the morning breakfast buffet.
  • Automatic 18% gratuity at Hideaway restaurant.

🚗Parking Info

  • Paid parking is implied as part of an 'extra fee for parking and pool' which can add ~$80 USD per day to the overall cost.

👥Crowd Levels

  • Weekends, particularly Saturdays, are described as 'exceptionally busy' and 'quite packed' at the pool area, attracting large family groups and cheer teams.
  • Weekdays are generally less crowded for pool use.
  • The overall atmosphere is lively with 'loud music, lots of kids'.

🛡️Safety Features

  • Lifeguards and security personnel are actively present and praised for ensuring children's safety.
  • Hotel staff effectively manage pool hygiene, clearing and cleaning pools when incidents (like children pooping) occur, though this leads to temporary closures.

When to Avoid

  • If you have teenagers looking for high-thrill water slides, as the waterpark is primarily for younger kids.
  • If you prefer a quiet, tranquil pool environment, especially on weekends.
  • If you are bothered by potential construction noise (though staff can relocate you).
  • If you plan to rely solely on the hotel's free shuttle for all Disney transportation needs due to its limited routes and schedule.
  • Booking on weekends if you prefer less crowded waterpark conditions.

Centrally located close to shops, dining and expressway. Decent food options in the food court area and a nice arcade for the kiddos. The waterpark area is nice but mainly geared for smaller kids under age 12. The room was nice and clean and housekeeping stopped by to clean once while we were out. Front desk staff were all very helpful and nice. Only downside would be that the rooms are not directly connected to the lobby or the waterpark so you will have to walk or drive to the waterpark and main lobby, depending on which building they put you in. There was construction going on for a second waterpark near our room, so I’d assume that will be for the guests who are on the opposite side of the hotel who don’t want to drive to the other side of the hotel for the water park. Other than that, I’d stay again!

You're going to read a lot of bad / mixed reviews about this hotel, but here's our POSITIVE take - as a family from the Midwest who was just looking for warm temps, sunshine, fun pool options for our young daughter, a safe + comfortable space to use as a home base while we did Disney day trips: Don't let the bad reviews scare you. WE LOVED OUR STAY! We stayed April 1 - 9, arriving later than anticipated due to flight issues and the staff was extremely helpful + accommodating with our 1am arrival. We were exhausted and crashed immediately, realizing in the morning that our room was far away from the main pool area (and directly next to the new pool area being worked on, with heavy machinery) so we inquired about a possible room change, since we were staying for 8 days and a main draw for our family was the waterpark / pool - the staff was so understanding and kindly moved us (and even upgraded us) to a new room, directly by the pool area. I also want to note that we are Holiday (IHG) Rewards Members, which I do think always helps when you are staying at a hotel to be a part of their system. Both rooms we had were clean and comfortable - they aren't going to be fancy, but that's not what we were needing or thought we'd get here. We loved the kitchenette and got a grocery delivery directly to the hotel. The food on site isn't anything to rave about - but again, it's a Holiday Inn focused on families with a high volume of guests. Hotel restaurants + bars are usually overpriced and underwhelming, unless you stay at high end resorts so this didn't surprise us or bother us. We LOVED the poolside drink + food options though and had exceptional service at the bar there. We loved the movie theater with multiple daily kids movies being shown, the alligator show with a pro from Gatorland + photo ops afterwards holding a gator, poolside competitions + games, music in the waterpark / pool area, toddler waterpark options, ice cream shop on site and food / drink options available. Our room was serviced daily (garbages emptied, beds made) and any request we did have (extra garbage bags, additional towels, etc) was met no problem. We did notice that physically going to one of the main desks as opposed to calling the desks was the best way to communicate + get assistance from staff. The pool / waterpark was PERFECT for our family! Our 3 year old had a blast on the slides and we spent multiple days just hanging by + in the pool area. If you are bothered by a family atmosphere (loud music, lots of kids, etc) this probably isn't the best place for you. But if you have kids, it is really fun! We did bring our own beach towels + pool toys, which was a plus since it appeared that hotel pool towels could often run out. As a note, the weekend days (Sat specifically) the pool area seemed to get exceptionally busy. We actually got a little overwhelmed, so because our stay was so long and we had lots of other pool day options, we opted to head out to Disney Springs. I would just keep that in mind as you are booking, that weekends do seem to get quite packed here (and we noticed a lot of family groups / cheer teams over the weekend as opposed to the week days we spent at the Hotel) Also, PLEASE PUT DIAPERS ON YOUR KIDS. Over the 8 days we were there, there were 3 situations where someone's kid POOPED in the pool and the poor staff had to clear the pool, clean it out + then make everyone wait 45+ minutes before getting back in. This was at absolutely no fault of the Hotel staff and we noticed so many guests getting frustrated with them, when it wasn't their fault. There is a free shuttle that is offered, but it is only offered at specific times in the morning and to specific locations on Disney property (Epcot + Ticketing) This didn't always work for our timelines or where we wanted to go, so we did Uber to Disney Springs and then catch Disney transport from there a few times. I do wish there was free transport to Disney Springs, since it is so close, but it was an easy + cheap uber every time (under/around $11)

Check in was a bit slow and not great. We had to ask for the Manager as it was past 6pm and we still had no room, but the guy who helped us with our luggage was super nice and accommodating. Lange from Entertainment was great today with the activities in the pool and the theater. We look forward to the next events this week. Breakfast buffet food was okay for the price. Maria and the other workers were nice, helpful and quick. Our kids love the water park, pool & arcade.

Habiba and Maria D offered excellent service at the morning buffet. The food is really good and had lots of variety. My kids got to eat for free for breaky! Best option in my opinion. Room was decent, could have better housekeeping, the pool was fun for kids. Lots to do around the hotel for kids. **Extra fees for parking and pool though so add like $80 usd per day to the price listed. The cantina had decent food, but only one worker on so it was very slow. Waited in line for almost 30 mins. Hideaway had yummy food, and good service. There is gratuity 18% added automatically, so watch for that as they don’t mention when they brought the visa slip to sign. All in all great family hotel, would go back!
