Homestead Bowl & The X Bar

Support your local bowling alley! There aren’t many “real” bowling alley’s left in the South Bay. This one has lots of league bowling weeknights as well as open bowling during the day and weekends. Reasonably maintained lanes and automated scoring. The snack bar and liquor bar are generally not open weekdays until the evening. When they are open they have reasonable fare. There’s also a pro shop here open in the afternoons as well as shoe rental and house balls that you’d expect. Get out there and pick up those spares.

This is a fantastic place for a fun night out! Booking was super easy, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. It’s a great spot for both families and date nights. It’s kid-friendly yet still a fun atmosphere for adults. The lanes are well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Good place to come after a full day of work. Pretty packed on a Monday evening. Song selection is particularly very good and heavy on 2000s vibes for a good trip down memory lane.

Good for hanging out with friends. The place looks a little outdated and feels so too which explains why the place was not so crowded even on a Saturday. The price seems nominal and I wish the staff at the counter were a little more friendly towards new customers answering questions. One of the systems also has a software bug where it starts mixing up rolls from consecutive players - not sure this is universal as we did not see this behavior in our second lane.

Rude staff Will start by saying the owners are jerks especially the bartenders. They have a reputation for kicking out large patrons/parties. Me and my friends used to like going to see metal bands preform here some of them were big titles but nope not anymore, thanks X bar for ruining the fun. One of my friends got harassed by the bartenders for refusing to get a drink but he doesnt drink the staff were having a fit for no reason so never again. This all has to do over some petty reasons the classic two drink minimum or get out kind of vibe but TLDR i guess they werent getting enough money out of these large parties so they just kick them out when they get tired of them. If your the designated driver you may as well buy a drink and give it to someone else to stay on their good side. It doesnt matter though we found a better venue with better drinks and better food so X bar is on our blacklist now.
