About Hoover Inverness Nature Park & Trails

Hoover Inverness Nature Park & Trails offers a mix of scenic, paved trails suitable for strollers and easy walks, alongside unpaved paths with hills for more vigorous hiking and a Frisbee golf course through the woods. It's considered a 'hidden gem' for its natural beauty and varied activities. However, a significant and concerning issue with broken glass and dumped trash on some trails, particularly near marker #12, poses a serious safety risk to children and pets, which parents must be aware of.

"I'm not sure why others said these trails were well maintained. There is so much broken glass and also an area where people have obviously gone and dumped their trash, including appliances, scrap metal, and furniture. The natural area is beautiful and the trails ARE nice but when you have to be careful with your kids and dogs and worry about them getting cut or injured by the glass or liter it takes away from the fun. My daughter’s young lab sliced his foot on a big chunk of glass. There was so much blood at first we didn't know what had happened. This is a place that could be so nice to take "
