7 months agoI was disappointed by the haunted house. There was some interesting scenes but it wasn’t scary at all. The actors were just part of the scene and weren’t trying to scare anyone. Plus there weren’t that many actors. We walked through several rooms without encountering anyone. My entire party of 17 had the same thoughts and were all disappointed. The maze was fun and so much better than the house. The midway was well designed

6 months agoIt saddens me to give this a one star rating this year because this has notoriously been our favorite haunted house….. however, this year we spent $30 per person, ok fine…. But then we stood in line for over two hours before being able to go in…. But by this point it was 10:50pm; the attraction closes at 11:30, so they literally opened the flood gates and let EVERYONE in line go through all at once. The poor actors’ heads were on a swivel screaming left, screaming right, but people kept streaming in until finally the actors grew tired and just stopped…. No one appreciated the jump scares because everyone was able to see what was happening up ahead…… TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED. I think they were too worried about making money and catering to the VIP lines, and the whole GA line got shafted. They need to step their game up and change things around. Take notes from some of the competitors that are able to handle BOAT LOADS of people (cue Fright Farm- they got their sh** together!) Give people stuff to do while they wait, treat EVERYONE like they are VIP.

7 months agoThis place was great. Price is a little high. General admission was $30. There were add on such as vip to include merchandise, carnival games, hayride, haunted maze, etc. There's 5 different theme houses in 1. Got scared quite a few times because where the pop out it's not obvious with all the hidden doors.

7 months agoThe VIP pass is not much more than regular ticket prices but they're definitely worth not waiting in line for hours. I recommend seeing how long the usual line is before picking up VIP passes though. They do wand you and ask to look in bags so A+ for safety. We tried the maze with our nephews (between age 10-14) and they had more fun doing that $10/person shorter activity than walking through the manor. Being chased by people with chainsaws > people trying to jumpscare you IMO. Definitely fun. Make the maze bigger and it'll be the much cheaper main attraction!

6 months agoThis haunt would be cool if they ran the crowd control properly. We came from 6 hours away to come visit the Hundred Acres Manor, and I can't be more disappointed in my experience here. First off, the lines are silly long at this time of year. We know this and buy fast pass to review multiple haunts in one night. But the lines were moving suspiciously fast. The courtyard outside is all about upgrading your ticket, getting food truck food, doing overpriced escape rooms, about everything except enjoying the fall weather. This is important because we did not feel it added anything for the maze or the escape rooms to not be included in an already expensive VIP ticket. Now for the haunt. It is extremely well made and the buildings and trails are extremely well done. This is enough for most haunt people but when you've seen over 100 haunted attractions, this means very little for scares. They jam in 3 large groups at a time. The girl in front only spaces them out 20 seconds, which is important. Our group was 3 VIP groups, a 6 top, our 2 top, and a 5 top behind us. THIS is the main problem. The group size should be capped at 6-8. The scares fully triggered by person 4 and by me at person 7 nothing retriggered. I was aggravated instead of scared. The group in front in our mega group were also not scared at all. It's hard to be scared in a group of 13. Then at house 3, our mega group hit another mega group, and the group behind us hit us. So now there's 30 frickin people in a conga line, not triggering any scares, being rushed by terribly trained actors. The last 20 minutes I just wanted out of the house so I could leave. If any of this sounds fun to you, you do you, but my score is a 3/10. I'll be fair to the design team here in that the themes and sets are 10/10, but literally everything else is a "f you, we got your money" experience, and I will never recommend this haunt to anybody, especially anybody who comes to secret review from 4 states away. A total disappointment all around. - The Haunt Wizard
