a month agoA Fun but Busy Experience at Indy Island Aquatic Center I recently visited the Indy Island Aquatic Center with my family, and while we had a blast, there were a few drawbacks that prevented me from giving it a full 5-star review. First, the good stuff: the aquatic center itself is fantastic! The pools are clean and well-maintained, and the water slides and play areas are perfect for kids of all ages. We spent hours splashing around and having a great time. However, our visit was during peak season, and the center was absolutely packed. It was loud, crowded, and sometimes difficult to navigate. I can imagine it would be overwhelming for younger kids or those with sensory sensitivities. One thing that would greatly improve the experience is the addition of food options. Currently, there are no dining options available within the center, which means you have to leave and come back or bring your own food. It would be amazing if they could offer some snacks or meals, or even have a food truck parked outside. Highlights: - Clean and well-maintained pools - Fun water slides and play areas - Great for families with kids Suggestions for Improvement: - Offer food options within the center or through a food truck - Consider implementing crowd control measures during peak season - Provide more seating areas for parents to relax while kids play - Bathrooms could use some deep cleaning improvements Tips for Future Visitors: - Plan your visit during off-peak hours if possible - Bring your own food and snacks to avoid having to leave - Take advantage of the lockers and changing rooms to store your belongings Overall, Indy Island Aquatic Center is a great destination for families, but it could benefit from a few improvements to enhance the overall experience.

2 weeks agoI came here to Indy Island today with my daughter to have some fun. We did indeed have some fun together however returning to my bag and towels on the wall bleachers was a nightmare!! Absolutely unacceptable and unbelievable. I grabbed my phone out of my backpack cup pocket and realized there was bugs ALL OVER IT I’m not exaggerating by any means when I say this either. I took a closer inspection thinking “it could be ants” and NO OVER 50+ BABY COCKROACHES JUST CRAWLING ALL OVER MY STUFF !!!! Not trying to cause a big deal with my daughter being with me I step to the side and inform a life guard that they was there and he responded “oh they not roaches we have a really bad ant problem” that was a lie completely 100% but I let my daughter play for 30 more minutes and we went to the dressing room where I couldn’t use absolutely anything I had with me (3 towels a change of clothes blow dryer and my hygiene products) NOT EVEN MY SHOES!!! everything was trashed at the facility and my daughter and I went home in just our swim suits. The hour in the pool was nothing compared to the tears and heartbreak of throwing a 6 year olds FAVORITE shirt away. By any means it was a great time just DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING WITH YOU !!!
