"My personal favorite area of this part of Seattle other than the Space Needle. Constructed for the World's Fair in the 1960s, it represents the fellowship of nations, the coming together of people from different backgrounds into a greater whole, the collective hope for the future in an era of space travel and moon landings, an era where are the future seemed a little brighter. I appreciate how the fountain encourages observers to come closer to it, with the downward sloping ramp with spirals toward the center of the fountain. It encourages people to be closer to it, to share in that beautiful "
