a week agoBought the year membership as this place is incredibly relaxing. Great place to come enjoy nature and get away from the city for a bit. Lots of beautiful flowers and very well kept trials. Make sure you grab a map on the way in so you don’t get lost!

3 weeks agoSuch a peaceful and beautiful place! We visited the Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens with our dog and we loved it. The trails are well-maintained and easy to follow, with gorgeous views and a mix of shaded and sunny areas. It felt safe and super relaxing. My pup was happy sniffing around and walking the trails (on leash, of course), and there were plenty of spots to stop, rest, and enjoy nature. It’s a perfect little escape from the city—definitely worth the $3 entry. We’ll be back soon!

a week agoGreat place for an educational walk. Very shaded, it was 85 and nice to be out for 2 hours with my dog (bring them water and poop bags).

a month agoIt's a lovely place to hike and relax. I go often. I believe you have to pay to enter now tho, it used to be free, but I love it so I think I'll pay and get a membership. Go on a windy day and hike the trails. It's so beautiful watching the trees swaying back and forth.

5 months agoI've been to Jacksonville nearly 100 times and never heard of this gem. Big oversight! This little advertised Park is a fantastic escape from the concrete jungle of the city. LOTS of shady trails to explore (and they are all very well marked so no one will get lost). The daytime admission fee of $3 (when I visited in 2024) is a joke. I've paid three times that for far inferior parks. I especially liked the no-bikes and no-scooters rule. You can walk around these trails without fear of being mowed down by an out of control biker or a speeding electric skateboard. The park has free parking in good supply. Toilets only at the entrance, but they were clean and properly maintained. Lots of placards identifying the various trees and plants along the trails. None of the trails are very long, and I suspect families with kids can handle any of the trails. No steep climbs or technical hiking. Great, shady place to escape the hot Jacksonville Sun, but even better to enjoy on a cooler day when you can hike for hours without getting worn out.
