Our stay at Kalahari was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we walked in, everything just felt seamless from check-in, to finding our room, to navigating the massive resort. The staff were helpful, the layout intuitive, and the entire experience felt really well thought out. Our room was spotless, spacious and genuinely comfortable. The food was delicious. Tom Foolery kept our preteen completely entertained with all the arcade games, climbing walls, and fun attractions. Overall, Kalahari made it easy to relax, play and eat well all under one roof. 10/10 would definitely recommend and come back again.

So here is the thing, my family and I frequently visit this location. My children LOVE this place and we always have an amazing time spending no less than 2-3 nights at a time (which can get very expensive). This time we were amped and looking forward to an amazing time, staying 3 nights with the all inclusive Tom Foolery’s Package. We arrived and the front desk was polite and offered great service. Our room was ready early and everything was good to go. 5/5 We arrived in our swimwear in case our room wouldn’t be ready so we dropped our luggage in the room and headed to the waterpark. The waterpark wasn’t too crowded, it was clean and organized and we had a good time both inside and outside. 5/5 Tom Foolery’s had a few games and machines that needed maintenance but overall it was 5/5 THE BIG ISSUE: we came back from the waterpark, showered & was lounging around deciding on dinner for the night. Randomly out of nowhere when the AC cycled on..the full air vent fell completely off and on my children while they were sitting near by. It obviously hadn’t been properly screwed in or had been loosened overtime because it literally fell off onto them. We contacted the front desk and no maintenance was sent to repair the vent for over 12 hours. My husband had to screw the vent back on using our personal keys because we didn’t want the AC and electrical wires just sitting exposed. My son had a nose bleed but we tended to it and it hit my daughter on the head and arm. Eventually the next morning through text they asked is everything okay and by then I was at Walmart buying a screwdriver for my husband to tighten it completely. They insisted they’d send maintenance then. Maintenance walked straight into the room, no announcement or anything (I was on the phone with my husband during the time and overheard) he then left back out to get a drill after seeing it and walked back in. EMS was sent to make a report, they asked questions, looked at the vent (but at that time it had been fixed by maintenance) gave us a card & left. My problem is, obviously it was a freak accident we understand that completely but absolutely no apologies were given from management at all whatsoever, the situation was completely ignored and no concern was raised. No empathy offed and honestly we were met with rude prideful behavior for no reason. We never once disrespected anyone, raised voices or caused a scene. We made sure our children were treated and respectfully requested maintenance, even though they never showed. When I recently reached out to management 4 days after the incident, I was told no notes were entered on my account about it. And that EMS management was busy and would reach out soon. No hotel management could be contacted and to basically take the survey. I was also told that to get the incident report I would need to have my lawyer contact them with a subpoena. This is such a horrible way to treat customers that support this company repeatedly. We 100% feel discrimination played a big role in why nothing was done or said. They would rather deal with a lawsuit than to apologize to loyal customers , which is over the top distasteful.

Very nice place , the room is clean and spacious. The waterpark has much of fun. It would be better if there is more food choice in the water park. The whole resort is soooooo big and clean. Self check in and out is super convenient. Kids love it!

Everything was as expected for me and my family. Was intrigued that the indoor and outdoor water areas were not connected. Feels like a design miss. This didn't create any issues for our stay as the outdoor water was very cold and no one was really there. They had workers in place and ready. Everything seemed well staffed. Everything was enjoyable. The Tom Foolery area was better relieved by my two teenagers than I thought. Large portions of this area are geared for younger kids. We have been to the Great Wolf Lodge 3 or 4 times. This is very comparable to those, but the indoor water area is much bigger and better. They could learn a little from each other on customer experience.

Really clean rooms! Only thing was the shower curtain was stained with dirt at the bottom Needed to be changed!! The water park was cool I don’t like how the outside water park wasn’t open during the week in April. It was nice outside and couldn’t enjoy the outside which was a bummer.. LOVE how the wristsbands are waterproof and gives key access to rooms and you can buy food/drinks with it!
