Karpus Family Playground

"Great playground! I'm a big fan of these new accessible playgrounds, even though I don't have anyone in my family who is differently abled. The elements are varied from other playgrounds which makes it challenging and fun in a new way. Not only that, but it's important to have spaces where all humans can gather/meet, regardless of ability."

"It was our first time there. It's a great playground for kids and parents. Visited Karpus with a 3 and a 5 yr old. They couldn't stop running from one play station to another. We've taken them to several playgrounds in the Perinton / Penfield / Webster area and this was the best. Several different interesting and creative features that we hadn't seen in other parks. It was good for the kids to see and try new things. The rubberized surface is comfortable to walk on and the area is compact enough to be able to sit at the picnic tables in the pavilion and easily monitor your children."

"Accessible playground with a rubberized surface. Adapted swings, wheelchair accessible merry go round, and even a roller slide for children who wear hearing aids. Ramps to get to the top of the slide. Nice pavilion to get out of the sun. Wheelchair accessible playground equipment throughout. Right next to the miracle field. Very thoughtfully done. Parking is close by and there is a small bridge to get to the playground."
