π‘οΈSafety Policy
- β’ Kidventure is a licensed Youth Camps Program under the Texas Department of State Health Services and undergoes annual inspection.
- β’ All staff are adults (18+), CPR/First Aid certified (Infant, Child, Adult), complete state-approved Sexual Abuse Prevention courses, and undergo yearly criminal background and sex offender registry checks.
- β’ Camper to counselor ratios: Discoverers 1:6, Explorers 1:12, Leads 1:12.
- β’ Swimming safety protocols include weekly swim tests, wristbands for pool access (color-coded for full/shallow zones), mandatory life jackets for Explorers in wave pools (Leads as needed/requested), and additional lifeguards.
- β’ Field trip safety protocols: Campers travel on full-size buses (most with restrooms and seatbelts). Staff maintain a 1:12 counselor-to-camper ratio with counselors at the front and back of lines. Headcounts are performed before departure and upon arrival. Trips are organized with rotations, and campers must stay with their assigned group.
- β’ Water park procedures include a designated 'home base' pavilion, group rules review, counselor-defined boundaries in wave pools (typically not exceeding 3ft depth), specific guidelines for water structures (e.g., 12-inch water depth, no laying down), and scheduled breaks for restrooms, water, and sunscreen re-application.
- β’ Kidventure operates a technology-free campus; all cell phones and other electronics must be kept off and put away (preferably left at home). Smartwatches are permitted only for time-checking and passive fitness tracking. Kidventure is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- β’ Kidventure camp shirts (Explorer shirts are Red) are required daily for off-site activities (Explorers and Leads) for quick identification and safety. A red T-shirt is an acceptable alternative for field trips if a Kidventure shirt is not available.
- β’ All medications must be in their original containers and match the information on the medical dosage form, which must be completed and handed to a staff member at drop-off (not left in child's bag).
- β’ Special needs campers are welcomed as long as staff can maintain safety for the child and others, and the experience is positive. Parents are encouraged to communicate openly and share strategies used at home/school. Contact the city office to discuss specific needs.
- β’ Immunization records are required for each camper, or a signed exemption affidavit must be provided.
π Booking Policy
- β’ Summer Camp 2026 Registration Opens: February 4, 2026 at 9 AM.
- β’ Seasonal Camp Registration (Fall Fest, Winter Camp, Spring Fest) Opens: October 1, 2025.
- β’ Payment plans are available, allowing for a deposit at registration with the remaining balance auto-billed later.
- β’ A $100 deposit is required for seasonal camps, which is non-refundable upon registration.
πParking Information
- β’ Curbside carline for drop-off and pick-up. Kidventure directional signs will be placed.
- β’ At drop-off, a staff member signs in the camper and escorts them to the camp entrance.
- β’ At pick-up, parents must present a family pick-up number. A staff member escorts the child to the vehicle.
- β’ To buckle a child into a car seat, parents should exit the carline and pull into a parking space.
- β’ For Post Camp pick-up, parents typically pull up to the designated camp entrance, text a number on a whiteboard, and a staff member will verify the pick-up number and escort the child.

12 months agoHorrible experience summer of 2022. My kids hate this place. Every time we pass by this street my kids get anxious and ask me β are we going to kidventure this summer?β . I wish I had done more research about them. I certainly regret my decision. Staff are mostly teenagers or very young with attitude who yell and scream at the kids. We had multiple occasions when kids came home crying about the staff. There were few that were favorites too but overall very inexperienced staff and program. Its more of a daycare than a summer camp. My kids complained about being bullied and the bully was a favorite kid so never got the attention of staff. Staff definitely favored some kids over others. My kids also complained about the prize chest every day. Kids had to do some activities to be able to get prizes, during the full summer they were only able to get prizes once. They complained that whatever they do, they are never called for prize chest and one specific group of kids are called for it every day. Pretty disappointing program when the whole purpose of these camps are confidence building and cheering up these young kids. Outdoor activities and off campus activities were extremely limited so definitely do not recommend this place if you are looking for off campus activities. On the other hand, the customer service was always available and they were very polite and attentive when we had concerns. Drop off and pickup was also great experience but certainly not very organized.
