Our guide grew up in this region and was full of knowledge of the region. She knows all the long term residents (wild life) by name and could grab a few additional images. You can "relax" in the kayak and enjoy the scenery while the guide will take wonderful pictures. Additional to the tour we received a historical knowledge of the area when the Spanish arrived to Florida. It will be great if the trip will be only 1-2 hours longer the trip to go more smoothly with the river flow down. We joined the tour mid April, therefore it was fairly quiet between mile 2 and 8.

Excellent tour! Owen is a great ambassador for Rock Springs and a fantastic guide. He shared interesting details about the foliage, wildlife and history of the area and how it was founded. The kayaking was super fun. We got a chance to stop for a swim and take pictures. Owen added to the adventure with stories about the animals he’s seen, made sure everyone in the group was relaxed and enjoying the trip. Owen was a pro guide, and we appreciated his genuine interest and knowledge in river. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This was a great experience. My husband and I tandem kayaked the full 8 mile trip. I definitely suggest at the beginning to go to the right and enjoy the beautiful water. When you head back to continue to the left beautiful as well a great balance of shade and sun. From mile marker 3-5 welcome to the best of Florida. Gators wild life serene u will think your lost and will need to paddle more and there is no current to assist until you see the mile 5 sign. Mile 4 was no where to be found. Mile 6-8 you can enjoy more current and clearer water. We finished in about 30 minutes to spare but we did take our time and enjoy. There isn’t any bathrooms at the end so stop at wekiva and use theirs or you will have to walk completely around the parking lot. There isn’t any guidance as to what to do with the kayaks at the end. We pulled ours out and brought it to the grass. When the shuttle arrived the driver was full of personality and make our ride back fun! Highly recommend Rick springs bar and grill for lunch sketchy on the out side eat out back completely redone and food was great!!!!

My husband and I booked the Eco River Adventure Shuttle Run for our vacation this March. We had tour guide Kim, and she showed us an absolutely incredible time on the river. There was only the two of us, Kim, and two awesome guys from Austria in our group. We put into the river really close to the source, and the water was impossibly blue and clear. Kim was really knowledgeable about the river, the area, the birds, plants and animals, and how everything fit together. She was funny and upbeat and kept us entertained and informed the whole trip. It was perfect weather and we were some of the very few people on the river this early in March, so our little group made extra good time and got to see more of the river. We saw dozens of amazing birds, dozens of turtles, some fish, a deer, and 30+ alligators of sizes between 1 foot long and 7 feet long. Just a truly spectacular day! There was really no downside to anything that happened, a totally top 10 day. Thanks, Kim! We'll definitely be telling our friends and family.
