Detailed Insights

La Mision Summer Kid Kamp presents a stark contrast in parent experiences. It is potentially valuable for families seeking long-term care from infancy through preschool, especially those with special needs children or who prioritize academic readiness, noting the comprehensive meal service and a welcoming director. However, significant concerns exist regarding child safety, facility cleanliness, staff supervision, and potential discrimination against parents using the CCDS program, making it a high-risk choice for many.

  • Director, Ms. Mary, is described as welcoming, patient, kind, and truly enjoys her work.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. HORRIBLE place. DIRTY. The director was very rude to incoming employee ASSISTANTS and made them watch multiple kids without any TEACHER by their side. NO ASSISTANT SHOULD BE ALONE WITH MULTIPLE KIDS. The director had a very rude attitude. One of the assistants threw up in the bathroom and the director MADE HER STAY. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO STAY IF YOU THROW UP, ESPECIALLY NOT NEAR KIDS. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF YOUR KIDS OR OTHER STAFF.

My children have attended this daycare for 4 years . The staff is very caring and have always treated my children with respect and kindness. I have 5 children 2 are special needs and this daycare went above and beyond to try and accommodate for them. Three of my children attended the pre school/ head start program and were more advanced when they entered public school. I am grateful for the the teachers and the director, they have always worked with me and have always made us feel like family.

The director Ms. Mary was welcoming from the first phone call I made and you can tell she truly enjoys what she does. The teachers are always patient with kids and you can see how much the care about each child. I am really grateful to know my child is happy and safe here.
